No sane person would throw all that away for a barely educated, vindictive, sectarian former Northern military dictator, which would explain why all hands were on deck to deliver him in 2015 in the real SS, except in Edo.
No sane people except Igbos will continue supporting their own kinsman who sacrifices his own people’s interest in pursuit of that of his oppressors all in the name of nationalism. Igbos loved Zik and always gave him bloc votes because he always sacrificed Igbo interest and safety in pursuit of Hausa-Fulanis’ on the altar of one indivisible Nigeria. Igbos also voted for OBJ both in 1999 and 2003 because he had as at far back as 1979 sacrificed his own Yoruba people’s interest for the pursuit of one indivisible Nigeria. They also loved GEJ because he sacrificed the SS interest in pursuit of one-Nigeria friendship with the very Core North which never wanted him. But the Ojukwu who fought genuinely for their interest, they made sure he never won a single election at home till he died. What an anomalous tribe!

What exactly do you mean by GEJ failing to honour Saro Wiwa, and Ndiigbo rejoicing because of it?

So you agree now that GEJ refused to honour Saro Wiwa despite him honouring with national awards all those that milked Nigeria dry and killed SS people? The fact that Ndigbo hate Saro Wiwa made GEJ all the more attractive to them for not honouring him. It is simple logic.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:49pm On Jun 19, 2017
You are deluded. Either way, you Edos are not half as educated, wise or exposed like the entire real SS who after examining GEJ performance for the region, deemed him worthy of a second chance in 2015.

The elections were rigged in all SS states except Edo. So your verdict is baseless. Edo remains the most educated state in the SS. It has the highest number of tertiary institutions in the region. An Edo man happens to be the youngest Editor Nigeria ever produced. An Edo man was first to move motion for the independence which you Igbos now enjoy. An Edo man was first to propose the kind of structure which we all want a return to right now. Only Edo State has ever produced the chairmen (Anenih and Ikhimi) of the two biggest political parties (SDP and NRC) in Nigeria simultaneously, and many more. The entire Indigbo has not equaled that record let alone beat it. In the SS Edo has the best WAEC results. In the list of the best 50 schools Edo alone has Eight unlike the other SS states which together don’t have up to five. Of course Edo is clearly an exception in excellence within the SS hence your wish that the SS remains a good example of failure makes you believe that Edo is too excellent to be grouped together with them.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:49pm On Jun 19, 2017
You are shameless. And like someone else told you here, Even if the election is reversed, the true SS would still vote GEJ again and again, cos it's the right and rational thing to do.

Do you know what shame is, you land grabber and oil thief. If the election is reversed and conducted credibly the SS results will be uniform again and again because the component states share the same feelings about their situation. You can die in envy of the SS. You wish to just wake up one day to see yourself miraculously as a SS person. You better wake up from your nightmare. The SS has come to stay and will never be part of Biafra no matter what you do or say. Your real grouse with Edo is not about voting pattern or anything concerning election but all about the fact that Edo is the leading SS state in creation of awareness against the joint SS-SE Biafra proposal. You can’t deny this. It is as simple as that. You Igbos love those who allow you to invade their homes and declare it a no-man’s-land, colonize it and exploit the resources to your dubious advantage. Edos know all your tricks more than other SS states hence your hatred for us.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:51pm On Jun 19, 2017
It's left for true SS people to decide if GEJ abandoned them, and not for a bitter Edo soul who true SS people never made their spokesperson, and from the results of 2015 elections, the answer is obvious.

You have claimed that the SS is an artificial assortment of tribes but ironically you have been giving yourself sleepless nights trying to classify them as genuine and true. How can there be such classifications in an assortment? It is like saying there are true Nigerians when Nigeria itself is a conglomeration of different peoples. Your Biafra education is really taking its toll on your mental faculty. In fact the SS identity is not even regional in limit but includes the Ijaws in Ondo State even though they are in the SW. that is why I insist that you are a fool for not realizing that the SS concept is more about the Southern minorities collectively and less about state boundaries. A bitter and frustrated Igbo like you whose state is not in the SS has no right to tell me I can’t speak for the SS. The result of 2015 election is not credible. Moreover only a bitter Igbo like you would promote voting pattern above anthropological parameters in determining identity. You are a shameless and crass opportunist. Oil thief and land grabber from a rag-tag majority.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:52pm On Jun 19, 2017
The majority of true SS still believed in GEJ and his capabilities and so spoke through their votes. However, you are entitled to your opinion( no matter how schizophrenic they may be) and not to your facts.

That there are even still minorities in your “true” SS who did not believe in GEJ is an indiction that you are a slowpoke for using election results as factor of identity. If voting against GEJ disqualifies people from SS identity, then by your silly logic those who voted against GEJ in Delta, River, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Bayelsa are not SSners. The likes of David West, Kokori, Charles Okar, etc who supported Buhari are no longer SSners by your puerile and senseless Biafra logic.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:52pm On Jun 19, 2017
Opigo, Kogbara, Imoke, Mbu, etc were also non Igbo Easterners who fought for their people and yet were close to Ndiigbo and had Igbo support are through.
Each to his own.
GEJ appealed to Ndiigbo because he was educated, gentle, democratic, consensus builder and every else good, as against a sectarian military dictator that was barely educated.

Buhari appealed to Edos and not to the true SS, who Edo is not wiser than, for them not to know that GEJ is bad for their region, if he truly were.
GEJ appealed to Ndigbo because he sacrificed the SS interest in pursuit of a Northcentric one-Nigeria. The sectarian military dictator is now addressing the fundamentals of the SS Question which your Azikiwe incarnate refused to address. GEJ was truly bad for the SS as long as he was against restructuring through an SNC. If GEJ had done so even Biafrans will not have been asking out by now. Edo remains vindicated.

Inasmuch we want to leave Nigeria, we still need to exploit the Nigerian political process and other alternative means to achieve that. Catalonia want to leave Spain, yet still participates in Spain political processes. Scotland was chanting independence, yet Gordon Brown schemed himself into British prime minister post. Political participation remains a veritable means to secession.
What Nigerian land did Biafra grab in 1967? Nigeria invaded Biafra and Biafra had to retaliate. It's that simple.

Biafra grabbed the Midwest ans parts of the Western Region but were dislodged by the federal side.

While Scotland wanted to exit UK they never insulted the rest parts of the union, they did not seek exit in a way that would endanger the lives of the other parts. They did not seek to drag any other part along against their consent the way Biafrauds are doing to the SS. They did not set up a radio station in Africa to spread hate and falsehood against other Britons. They worked it through the legislature unlike Biafrauds who have persons in NASS collecting money and sleeping during sessions. Same with Catalonia.

Ojukwu was a gentleman who would not speak ill of elders or the dead. He was encumbered by his spotlight status, the rest of us aren't and would continue to dish out raw unpalatable facts about Awolowo and his gang. You can cry as much as you like.
Awolowo was only loved by his Yoruba people, and I doubt the Akintola faction loved him.
Yet he chose an Igbo VP, what point was he trying to sell?
Awolowo was never a consensus builder. He was a tribal Lord.

A gentle man indeed who declared a war he was not prepared for that led to the loss of over 3 million innocent lives. The fact that Ojukwu himself attended Awolowo’s burial and declared him the best president Nigeria never had marks the fact that there is really no unpalatable fact about Awolowo unlike Zik whom Ojukwu so loathed onto death that he kept away from his burial.
Akintola faction is an insignificant minority in Yoruba land, and the rest Yorubas treat them as outcasts. Awolowo was a hard headed realist who, unlike Zik, would not sacrifice his own peoples’ interest and safety in the name of building one stupid consensus with feudal lords who would later ride on that very consensus to kill his people. I don’t have any doubt that with hindsight at their disposal Igbos now wish that Zik had faced reality and dumped his stupid quest for a stupid consesnsus building with jihadists. Of what use is a consensus with a people who despite being in a democracy were claiming that they alone had the right to rule and kill? Only Igbotic stupidity could inform the desire to build consensus with killers and jihadists. It was the same thing Jonathan was trying to do. A man who burnt his goodwill with the SW and Middle Belt (which voted for him massively) and began building bridges with the Core North which did not mind killing him and his wife is no consensus builder but a victim of moronic plague. If by Biafra Logic such is consesnsus building, then I pity the quality of education that will subsist in the independent Biafra Republic.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:56pm On Jun 19, 2017
OBJ though Yoruba was a consensus builder, his heavy votes in Igboland however were influenced by the riggin machinery of PDP. Seeing as there wasn't any major Igbo presidential candidate up against him in those era, the voter apathy in the East in presidential elections those years were goldmines to PDP rigging machinery that controlled the East at state level. You can only rig where you are popular or where the people don't care.

You are still holding onto this trash theory of rigging being only possible in an area of popularity. Why do you keep on reasoning against natural logic? If a person is popular in a particular area does he need to even rig there? Are elections not popularity tests in themselves?
So the Ojukwu who contested against OBJ in 2003 did not have the status of a major Igbo presidential candidate? If Ojukwu wasn’t then who else can ever be in Igbo land? You see how Igbos belittle their heroes and themselves but turn around to accuse others of marginalization and victimization?
If after OBJ stood against GEJ in favour of Buhari you still claim he is a consensus builder yet you claim Edos, whom you at least think also preferred Buhari to GEJ, are parochial then you are sick and in need serious medical attention in an intensive care unit.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:57pm On Jun 19, 2017
The Arewa and Yorubas who were there before GEJ never built the second Niger bridge either, they never reconstructed the East after the war.

The Only Yoruba man who ever rose there was voted in by Igbos but rejected by his people. The Arewas (Shagari, Balewa) who also ruled had Igbo VPs. The GEJ who later came on board was the adopted son of Igbos. So it is the fault of Igbos themselves that the second Niger Bridge was not built.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:57pm On Jun 19, 2017
Awolowo diverted the funds for East post war reconstruction to Lagos. OBJ was there for Eight years, he never reconstructed the second Naija bridge, he jailed Uwazurike, Gowon jailed Ojukwu in 1983.

Awolowo was not in position to divert funds for the development of Lagos. Gowon was in charge and Ironsi had introduced unitary system which Gowon would not repeal due to Ojukwu’s stubbornness. It was that unitary system that developed Lagos rapidly. Awolowo on the other hand was a consummate federalist. Igbos allowed themselves to be bribed by IBB into endorsing OBJ to the displacement of their own Ekweme who was the rightful PDP ticket hopeful. So whatever OBJ did to Ndigbo was Ndigbo’s fault.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:58pm On Jun 19, 2017
There is nothing whatsoever we can say GEJ did to us, that Arewa-oduanistanis had not done worst.
Even after Arewa massacred you in 1945 and again in 1953 in Jos and Kano respectively you still voted for them in the Parliament in 1959. After Arewa massacred 3 million of you in war you still went into alliance with them in 1979. So your claim it was the worse things Arewa did to you that made you vote against Buhari does not make sense when juxtaposed with precedents. Ironically the Ojukwu who did his best for you, you rejected him at the polls all through.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:58pm On Jun 19, 2017
I'm sure the true SS realized the same, which was why despite all GEJ shortcomings, when presented a choice between him and any Arewa-oduanistan candidate, he would always come top in the region. Not because he was the best, but because he was better.

GEJ himself had become an Arewanistan-Biafra candidate as he abandoned the SW, SS, and Middle Belt which voted genuinely for him on principle, and embraced the SE which voted for him on the assumption that he would give hand over to them, and the Core North which voted against him and staged bloody riots when he was declared winner. Of course Igbos were thrilled by the coincidence that another man bearing Azikiwe repeated exactly the 1959 history Zik made by founding the Core North-Biafra marriage which put the SW, SS and Middle Belt in political quandary.

Unak78:
I think he's trying to say that there aren't 10 developed local areas or even one outside of Lagos. Debatable, however it bothers me that almost all current investment, including private investment, is directed towards Lagos when the country needs more regional economic hubs. Part of the reason that Lagos is overrun and overpopulated is this mentality. If more investment could be directed towards Aba, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Maiduguri, Jos, Ibadan etc you would see more growth across the country and fewer people running to one single city. Some of this is out of anyone's hands since you cannot force private investors to go where they don't see a return on investment. But you can invest government funds in different regions in order to make those regions more attractive so that the private sector can finish the job. Look at what China did by with their regional economic zones. It could be said that there were only three economic hubs in that country twenty years ago and two of them weren't even technically part of China. Now Hong Kong will have to soon fight just to remain among China's top ten investment destinations. I like the project in Eko Atlantic, for example, but a similar project elsewhere would help Nigeria more.

At any rate, I'm glad that the OP is proud of his state, but how about wishing for the country's growth, the uplifting of a nation that can be an example for all of Africa. It would not only aid Nigeria, but ease the congestion in Lagos as well.
Honestly, it was because of objective & matured comments like this Dat attracted me to NL back in in days unlike now that the forum has been over run by tribal bigots. You're spot on bro!!
