But one thing is constant, non of the Ijaws are interested in keeping Igbos in Nigeria, because Ijaws are self confident people who believe they can run a successful Ijaw independent nation alone.

Only frustrated Edo and Yorubas, scared of the outcome of Nigeria post Igbo independence, scared of their inability to make it themselves as independent nations outside Nigeria, having failed to use the phantom secession clause as a tool of blackmail, are now resorting to hiding behind the Ijaws. Their desperation is real.

Neither is any Edo, Edoid or Yoruba or even Arewa is interested in keeping Igbos in Nigeria. What they are against is Igbos attempt to drag the SS along by force rather than by their consent which they’ll never give anyway. It is greedy and frustrated Igbos who rather are afraid that without the SS and her oil their Biafra will be a landlocked, barren and all too tiny a country. The other truths are that Igbos contribute the least to the national treasury hence their flooding of every other region for livelihood, and their inability to make it on their own without the South-South is evidenced by their shameless insistence on a joint SS-SE-partly NC Biafra. If Edos and Yorubas were ever scared of a post Igbo independence they wouldn’t have ever proposed the secession clause which Igbos rejected and preached a fraudulent One-Nigeria out of the fear of their non-viable solo country that it might result in. Despite it has been written about by even Igbo scholars you now describe the secession clause as phantom because it remains the greatest evidence that only your Igbo tribe was actually scared of standing alone. This is called cognitive dissonance or the sour grapes syndrome – denying the existence of what deflates your ego and dubious narrative. If you ever believed you could make it alone why did you ever preach One Nigeria when all evidences pointed to the contrary? Even your current exit quest is premised on a drag of the SS along, thus you have never sought a truly independent and self sustaining Igbo nation which can stand on her own without any other part of Nigeria.

If Ironsi dissolved the regions, who they were Ojukwu, Fajuyi, Ejoor, and Hassan Katsina in Ironsi government.

And what were their positions? ;DIf Ironsi dissolved the regions, who they were Ojukwu, Fajuyi, Ejoor, and Hassan Katsina in Ironsi government.

And what were their positions?

Ironsi dissolved the regions four months after these persons joined his regime meaning that they did not know he had the plans to dissolve them as the time they accepted his appointments as regional governors or else they would have rejected it. Don’t forget that immediately Ironsi dissolved the regions they began to plot a coup by which they killed him in a show of their rejection of dissolution of the regions

Simple questions, and you are spamming the thread with long posts you have no understanding about.
The Igbo disease is to claim an opponent has no understanding about an issue on which he is challenged with questions that expose his guilt and lies. \

APPOINTMENT OF REGIONAL MILITARY
GOVERNORS
The Federation Military Government further
decrees:
a. that there shall be appointed a Military Governor
in each Region of
the Federation, who shall be directly responsible to
the Federal
Military Government for the good government of
the Region; b. the
appointment as Adviser to the Military Governor of
the Region, of the
last person to hold the office of Governor of the
Region under the
suspended provisions of the Constitution.

This was the state of things as at the time of Ironsi death.
The regions were made up of provinces, and all had governors.
Whatever future changes Ironsi intended to make didn't take effect yet before he was killed.

I sympathize with you for your ostrich attempt to obscure facts. Ironsi made all those changes hence his overthrow and assassination by the Hausa-Fulanis.

Orji uzor Kalu was never a frontrunner in 2007. PPA hardly had any national spread to consider Orji uzor, a frontrunner.

Keep defining and redefining your concept of frontrunner. Shameless thing! PPA was a major national party which won two states in that election. The Atiku, a supposed frontrunner in that election, contested in APC which was only popular in and won only Lagos State. If we are to buy this your dirty and putrid frontrunner theory then only Yaradua contested in 2007 since only PDP fits into your definition of what makes a frontrunner party.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:32pm On Jun 19, 2017
Either way, the point remains that the voting pattern of SE states in those era remained same/roughly same, showing regional unity or political oneness, even though there is never a doubt about that, seeing that they were all Igbos.
How were they same when Orji won in some and Yaradua won in others? Keep kidding yourself.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:33pm On Jun 19, 2017
Remember that the whole argument is about the non-SS nature of Edo and how she sticks out like a sour thumb in SS.
Of course the tendency to change the topic runs through your criminal blood. A topic that started as Ironsi’s dismantling of federalism has now become about the phantom “non-SS” nature of Edo only possible in your warped imagination as if it is the pattern of election voting that determines regional identity. Only in Biafra mentality do natural parameters for measuring concepts get jettisoned for artificially invented assumptions. However I have equally made reiterated that only in Edo were the elections truly without fraud unlike the other SS states where the PDP governors purposely had the results delayed to give room for manipulation which produced nearly 100% voter turn-out or else the same pattern would have run through.
That of all the tribes in Nigeria only Igbos are ever so pained that Edos gave only 60% to GEJ “unlike” the other SS states is an attestation to the fact that they have always assumed that it is wrong for a section of a tribe or region to exercise its freedom to act differently from the other sections. That is a confirmation that Igbos introduced the philosophy of blind and unquestioning tribal loyalty cum tribalism to Nigeria however much they deny it. Even the other SS states who own GEJ just like Edo does are not crucifying Edos for the 40% for Buhari because they are not parochial and tribalistic like the Igbos who have continued crying well after the bereaved themselves have moved on and put the past behind them. The bond of the SS transcends GEJ’s election, hence after the 40% Edo gave to Buhari, Okowa (your supposed Anioma Brother) in Edo governorship build up campaign in Benin lamented very sorrowfully that Edo and Delta are no longer in the same political party despite being the closest sister states in the SS. Ironically enough it is very rare for an Edo person to so lament, not because Delta really isn’t our sister state but because Edos, unlike hopeless Igbos, are not after other people’s lands and are not seeking brotherhood by force. Edo does not beg for friendship, it commands it by her rich culture, history and high self esteem. Of the three national symbols in the emblem of the Federal Ministry of information and culture, two were chosen from Edo without any lobbying, and the third one is from the other 35 states combined. Then why would such a rich and prestigious state descend so low to vote against commonsense just for solidarity towards a regional identity yet undefined? Most Deltans, some Bayelsans and some Riverians trace their origins to Edo but no Edo person has ever traced his origin to any of the other five SS states. Despite being the only APC state in the SS, Delta and indeed all other SS states gravitate towards Edo more than Edo does towards them if at all. Inspired by the pain of having Edo outside the SS PDP circle, Wike himself was in Benin for the campaign for which he earlier on donated N3bn to the PDP candidate towards winning Edo back to the PDP fold by hook or crook. Ironically Edo did not even give a damn. I have never seen a sitting Edo governor (not even when the whole SS was PDP dominated) abandon the state for a PDP campaign in any other SS state. On the other hand Edos have not ever questioned the desire of their sister state, Delta, to remain in PDP. Such is the genuine spirit of brotherhood. We are too mature for that puerile and parochial Igbotic politicking. It is a mark of honour that a people you don’t give much damn about are the ones running after you. All other SS states see and respect Edo as their biggest brother for many reasons. Being a region created with the sole objective of uniting the Southern minorities, the First ever SS meeting titled “A Handshake Across The Niger” was spontaneously and unanimously held in Benin City as a mark of honour for the Oba Akenzua’s invention of that objective and his historic pioneership role in advocating it right from Ibadan in the Old Western Region at a time the Igbo Hegemony of the Eastern Region denied the proposed COR Region freedom. Jonathan’s relative loss in Edo is not enough to obliterate these from the memories of the other five SS states because the SS Question is bigger than GEJ who was probably in primary school when the struggle began.
It may please you to even know that at the initial stages Edo was very wary of the SS identity as it first appeared aimed at subduing the Bendel and more importantly the Edo culture uniqueness under a new creation, but accepted it after careful consideration showed it was genuinely nothing more than a quest to widen the scope of Oba Akenzua’s minorities focused struggle. You may die in your envy against Edo.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:34pm On Jun 19, 2017
Of course, SS remain an artificial creation, but has come to stay, and the people naturally working together to achieve political means.

It is an arrogant insult on the collective sensibilities of the whole SS to claim that their major objective is to work for a partisan political means. Such might be the Objective of the Sad Middle East hence they have always been in slavery and economic quandary evidenced by their blind but dangerous political alliances since independence and which led to their loss of 3 million lives, and also economically impoverished their region and consequently displaced them into other regions in search of greener pastures . But the Principal objective behind the SS identity is poles apart from mere elections and the Middle-East-like preposterous ethno-regional calculations, but mainly aimed at galvanizing the minorities against the economic onslaught of WAZOBIA return to the true federalism/Resource control which Igbos dismantled.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:35pm On Jun 19, 2017
Edo is not doing same. Which is why I insisted that as an Edo man, you can't hide behind SS, which you are hardly aligned to spread your Igbophobia, when you attempted to do that.
A parameter as mundane as GEJ’s election loss can’t be the standard for measuring solidarity except in the Sad Middle East where abnormal and insane parameters are the orders of the day. In concrete and substantive parameters like awareness creation for the SS Question through the mass media, pioneership of SS disentanglement from WAZOBIA domination, call for return to resource control, etc, Edo scores higher than most other SS states if not even all. Alignment to the SS is not by electoral votes but by genuine commitment to the fundamental economic ideals. And who, by the way, is a frustrated wannabe like you to make assessment on SS solidarity? Is this not with this same criminal attitude of meddlesomeness you tried to clinch Western Region premiership where you had no business? Why can’t you mind your business in your Sad Middle East Region? A tribe so greedy that they are always wannabes at any point in time. Out of covetousness for the North’s agricultural wealth they were once wannabe Hausa-Fulanis hence preaching one-Nigeria while all evidences pointed starkly to the contrary. Their lust after the Cocoa/Rubber wealth of the Western made them wannabe Yorubas thus they tried to become premier of the Western Region through the subterfuge of “One-Ngeria” sloganeering. In their lust after the alluring commercial strength of Lagos they are currently wannabe Lagosians hence they claim the place is a no man’s land; and due to their big rotten eyes in the SS’ oil and solid minerals wealth they are wannabe SSners hence they have been cooking up unnatural standards like voting pattern for SS indigenship so that they can come in through the back door. Hasn't it ever occurred to you that no other Nigerians have ever been wannabe South Easterners?
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:36pm On Jun 19, 2017
What's the difference? That Ndiigbo are capable of rising above parochial interests to support one who isn't from their region in unison, when they realized their own was not going to make it, even if they gave him all their votes, seeing as he wasn't a major contender.

Do you even read what you write at all before posting? That a people put their own first and are only able to let go when his chances become dim is the worst form of parochialism. You have just inadvertently confessed that all this “love” for GEJ was premised on the non-availability of an Igbo candidate in any of the major parties’ tickets. That is what you people are known for. I before Others. They do nothing out of a sincere commitment to its ideals. It all goes to show that Jonathan was actually just a spare tyre option to you people. That was duplicity and chameleon attitude. However Edos are straight forward and so did not pretend to love GEJ when they had misgivings about him.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:36pm On Jun 19, 2017
While Edo cannot rise above parochial interests to vote one from the same geopolitical zone as them, who isn't an Edo, when everyone else from the zone who were not of the same ethnicity as GEJ did manage to get above parochial interests and voted for him.
Edo couldn't work in tandem with the entire SS, because she is a freak of nature. She sticks out like a sour thumb.

If words still have meaning, the term “parochial” means narrow-minded, limited in outlook, negatively conservative and self centered and having an attitude focused on one’s tribe alone. Now, how could Edos, who supposedly voted for a non-SS man more than the other SS people, be termed parochial while the others SS states which supposedly voted more for GEJ- their own group’s member- be adjudged as non-parochial? Can’t you see how your envy of Edo has driven you so mad that you turn logic on its head? Isn’t it clear by now that you are a demented and confused schizophrenic hulk of flesh who is swimming in massive incoherence engendered by bitterness and envy for a people who expressed their freedom of choice? See how uneducated you are? When I said you lack comprehension ability and turn logic upside down you did not believe. Please check your dictionary again for the meaning of “parochial” before you shamelessly apply Biafra sense to its usage. Only a Biafran can be so fraudulent to distort the meaning of an English word in pursuit of a dubious political narrative.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:39pm On Jun 19, 2017
So yes, I agree with you, Edo can't hide behind SS nor can an Edo man hide behind Ijaw to claim non existing relationship and start blackmailing Ndiigbo.

Edo is the foremost SS state based on the objectives behind the creation of the region. Ijaws are an integral part and enclaves in Edo State, but no single Middle East state has any indigenous Ijaw population or settlements. Edo State is also home to some Itsekiri and even Urhobo enclaves. Igbos have no relationship with these tribes unlike the Edos from whom the Urhobos and Itsekiris migrated.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:40pm On Jun 19, 2017
For the record, NPP controlled Anambra in 1979, Ojukwu was against an NPP candidate for Onitsha senatorial district, Onitsha area being the stronghold of Zik, the leader of the party.

Like I have already said, Igbos’ major concern is the mundane pursuit of partisan political objective even if it endangers the real fundamental ideals and their future generations. That explains why, despite sacrificing his otherwise glamorous and promising future in pursuit of their most fundamental ideal of freedom from Hausa-Fulani entanglement into which Zik had plunged them, they still placed party considerations above every other thing in voting choice between Ojukwu and another contestant like they wanted Edo do for GEJ to the jettisoning of their own cherished pursuit of fundamentals.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:41pm On Jun 19, 2017
Ojukwu lost that battle against Zik in Onitsha zone, but won the war in the entire Anambra, as his influence in non Onitsha areas of Anambra evened things out for NPN and enabled them clinch the state governorship in 1983 election, against NPP candidate, Jim Nwobodo.

In 2012 When Oshiomhole who did not even go to any war on behalf of Edos proved beyond reasonable doubt that he was committed to the pursuit of the Edos’ fundamental ideals he tore General Charles Airhiavbare his opponent, Anenih, Igbinedion, Ogiadomhe, etc into complete shreds right in their wards. In fact Edo Central senatorial District which was a PDP stronghold came crashing in that election on account of his demonstrated commitment to that Ideal. No single place was left. The fact that Ojukwu, with all the risk he took for Ndiigbo, could thereafter lose a free and fair election anywhere in Anambra (be it in the Onitsha Zone of Zik who even exposed Ndiigbo to the catastrophe that befell them) is a shameful indictment on how much importance Igbos place on mundane party and parochial considerations over concrete ones. No wonder they kept on chanting “GEJ till 2019, One-Naija” when GEJ was not fulfilling any single campaign promise for them. The same way they kept on defending and following Zik even though he had begun to lead them astray by his choice of the NPC-NCNC alliance which clearly went against their original objective of anti-Hausa/Fulani stance which they earlier on demonstrated by voting 0% for NPC in the popular election. You people are like fowls which one may beat and pluck off its feathers completely but would keep following one as long as it still sees corn in ones hands. Senseless zombies!
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:42pm On Jun 19, 2017
No. Awolowo and Enahoro had the moral obligation to insist on Gowon returning power to Dipcharima. Ironsi was already dead and Igbo military ranks had already been decimated in the counter coup. There was no justification for Awolowo and Enahoro support of Gowon and marshalling out plans that permanently denatured Nigeria.

Ojukwu was still alive and was involved in activities against which Awolowo and Enahoro had to defend themselves hence their tilting to the side of Gowon or else what befell Igbos would have equally befallen Edos and Yorubas. Ironsi had already denatured Nigeria by ever introducing the mutilation of the constitution.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:43pm On Jun 19, 2017
You can't become what you claim to be fighting and justify it by claiming to have been influenced by what you want us to believe you were fighting against. It would amount to turning logic on its head.

Circumstances beyond my control may force me to behave like a monkey to catch one, but that does not mean I ever became an actual monkey.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:50pm On Jun 19, 2017
They( Enahoro and Awolowo) were no military men and HAD not to play by the military rules. They had to insist on return to civilian rule, since you want us to believe that military rule never developed nations. But, instead, they became the mount piece of the military rule.

Another stupid illogicality. The situation then had degenerated to pure anarchy and was no longer about the need to press Gowon to return to civil rule. Events had all been overtaken by Ojukwu’s invasion of Edo and Yoruba lands. Were you expecting Edos or Yorubas to have been thinking of democracy when total extinction was staring them right in the face? Fool!
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:51pm On Jun 19, 2017
Either way, both Awolowo, Enahoro and Gowon were responsible for their actions that denatured Nigeria permanently. They had no threat whatsoever on them.

Of course I don’t expect you to understand the imminent threat which Awolowo and Enahoro saw in the circumstances. After all an average Igbo man is always so dull never to see early enough the signs of danger. Recall that despite having being massacred in thousands in 1945 and 1953 in Jos and Kano respectively, Igbos still lacked the hindsight through which to have seen the bigger future danger posed by the prospect of entering into an alliance that would give raw power to the North hence their preference for the ideologically defective and Northern Oligarchy controlled NPC-NCNC alliance over the more useful all-South one.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:51pm On Jun 19, 2017
Ojukwu was a military man, and Gowon was a military man, I see no relationship between that and Awolowo/ Enahoro.
Awolowo and Enahoro were jailed by Igbos and denied freedom by Ojukwu and Ironsi while Gowon set them free. That makes the difference. It would have been an ingratitude and stupidity of immense proportions for Awolowo and Enahoro to have, on regaining freedom, teamed up with Igbos who jailed them to fight against the same Gowon who released them. Only an Igbo man could be so ungrateful, evil minded, demonic and forgetful, hence Ifeajuna could muster up the courage to shoot to death in cold blood the Zakaria Maimalari who assisted him against all odds to procure his (Ifeajuna’s) first car. Igbos are indeed wicked. No Edo man would ever have such an evil heart and his fellow Edos would rationalize it for him the way Igbos do. In fact among Edos, whoever is known to have shed innocent blood for any reason suffers ostracism till the end of his life.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:52pm On Jun 19, 2017
Either way, that mindset left us with the resident/indigene dichotomy that had entrenched tribalism into the Nigerian system.
Tribalism was entrenched by Zik as far back as 1938 for reading into NYM elections the effect of Ijebu vs other yorubas dichotomy despite he himself was neither Ijebu nor one of the other Yorubas.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:53pm On Jun 19, 2017
Well, the Combined GDP of SE still beats the Combined Edo GDP. And that settles it.
Btw, good to see you finally attaching to where you rightly belongs to, ie SW. I'd be glad to see you start attaching to NC too.

The index of measuring socio-economic development is GDP per Capita and not GDP. I guess you don’t even know the difference. Luxemburg has a smaller GDP than USA but is adjudged richer because in per Capita sense it dwarfs the USA i.e. the life of an average individual in Luxemburg is of a higher standard than that of an average American, thus Edo’s higher GDP per Capita means that standard of living in Edo is higher than what can be found anywhere in the entire Sad Middle East. I can see what your paranoia has done to you. So the mention of Lagos and Edo among the states with the highest GDP now places Edo in the SW? Chai!!!! I have never seen this level of ignorance. Going by your ever changing but preposterous parameters Rivers and Delta will also become SW states for being listed with Lagos among the as top 4 GDP per Capita states. And if we are to extend it then Your own Anambra or Ebonyi have become states in the NE or NW since your GDP per capita falls in the same range as states in those regions. Chai! Whoever did this to your brain?
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:54pm On Jun 19, 2017
The Igbo purported marginalization of the Eastern minorities was investigated in the willink reports and the result is still out there.

And the report was prepared and delivered under the influence of the Eastern Region Government under the control of Igbos. Hmmmm! How really independent was it? I thought you already argued that all British generated historical documents were doctored to misrepresent the actual realities on ground?
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 3:55pm On Jun 19, 2017
Either way. I believe Boro is entitled to calling for referendum to determine if Ijawland can continue to remain part of the East, but not the right to call for outright secession of Ijawland without a referendum to determine the people wishes.

Likewise Ojukwu was entitled to calling for referendum to determine if Edo/Delta could continue to remain in Nigeria rather than his outright invasion of Benin, Warri, Sapele, Auchi, Igarra, etc. without a referendum.

Eastwalk:
10.Uyo - Uyo is a fast growing city and local government area in Akwa-Ibom state . It has witnessed huge infrastructurally growth in the past few years. It has intensive roads network, such as IBB way, Atiku Abubakar avenue, Udo udoma avenue and Edet Akpan Avenue which is an eight lane superhighway as currently the wildest road in Uyo among others. It homes the newest and the best looking stadium in Nigeria, The Akwa-Ibom complex. The LGA is well known for its neatness and hospitable to foreigners and aboriginals.
Uyo has the best hospital in Nigeria, I wonder why our president didn't go there.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:01pm On Jun 19, 2017
Ojukwu owed Boro and his Ijaw nationalists a referendum atleast, I had said that again and again here.
But either way, Boro-Ojukwu issue remains an Eastern region affair, that had nothing whatsoever to do with a far away Edos and Yorubas, and therefore, no one is interested in hearing what a desperate Edo like yourself has to say about it, as the Ijaw nation never made you their spokes person, instead your desperation for cheap blackmail drove you into that position of crying more than the bereaved.

And I have told you again and again that the Eastern Region was not an independent entity. Ironsi arrested Isaac Boro and sent him to the Federal Capital for prosecution rather than to the eastern regional capital, charged him for attempt to secede from Nigeria and not from the Eastern Region, and that he was jailed and to be hanged in the federal capital and not in the Eastern Regional capital. With all these, only a bloody illiterate struggling to rationalize an injustice done by his brothers against innocent people will still keeping trying to paint it an Eastern Regional affair yet when you ask him why his brother Ojukwu invaded the Midwest in a war between East and North he quickly generalizes it as a Nigerian War. Inconsistent hypocrite and double standards apostle!

Edo lands had and still has indigenous Ijaw enclave settlements (I hope you know what that means) in them with some even very close to Benin City and others deep in the hinterlands of Ovia NE and Ovia SW LGAs. In fact Ijaw settlements are interspersed among Urhobo and Itshekiri lands all of whom were in Bini lands. So Boro’s quest for secession of Ijaws directly concerned Edo and Edoid lands. Only a supreme kind of Ignorance of Nigeria’s ethnic distribution, especially that of the SS which you so love and want to belong to, could have informed your blind opinion that Boro’s attempted secession was an affair between Igbos and Ijaws alone. Shameless Ignoramus!
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:03pm On Jun 19, 2017
You have all that you mentioned? Cool an rd dandy, now let's see you calling and championing for independent republic republic of Edoland, spend your energy on that, and stop expending your energy on Biafrans quest for independence, convulsing like an earthworm on salts and looking for cheap blackmails to justify your anti Biafran rhetorics.

Edo and Delta have always wanted independence but not through violence as Igbos did and still do. As a people who first made a case for secession clause through Enahoro of Edo and Arthur Prest of Delta, and also later set an unbeaten record as the only people who proved that separation of any form in Nigeria can be achieved through the more civilized and democratic means of plebiscite totally devoid of bloodshed or gunshot like it happens in the advanced world, we have come to believe more strongly in constitutional means, hence we in harmony with the other SS states have been calling for a restructuring which would give room for secession through referendum. Our success in having our way through referendum as far back as 1963 is an evidence that we were already way ahead of Igbos in civilization and that an independent Edo Republic will be a very perfect example of an ideally civilized African nation in sharp contrast to the bestial, crude, violent, attitude that will obviously be the norm in Biafra.
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:04pm On Jun 19, 2017
You mean Igbos voted for Zik in 1979, not because of Zik, but because of Zik Arewa running mate? Wow! Even for your usual schizophrenic standard, this is outrageous and so out of line with rationality .

Don’t tell me your disease of abysmal comprehension ability is getting malignant by the day. I said Igbos have and will always prefer a ticket featuring an Arewa than one featuring an all-South combination. Come to think of it; at independence did Igbos not actually endorse Zik’s rejection of the proposed all-south coalition which was to be totally devoid of Arewa? That explains why they preferred Zik for having an Arewa running mate again in 1979. True character never hides itself however much it is denied. Can you mention just one instance in which Igbos have ever supported a ticket totally devoid of Arewa in Nigeria’s history?
Re: 10 Most Developed Local Government Areas In Nigeria-opinion by Deadlytruth(m): 4:05pm On Jun 19, 2017
Well, in 2015, we had a SSner running as a frontrunner for the presidency, while the rest of SS voted or if it pleases you, rigged massively for him, and SE turned out massively for him, Edo was amphoteric with nearly half of them sticking with their Northern real location.

If you admit the 2015 election had trappings of being partially rigged by the PDP governors in the rest SS states, then isn’t it asinine of you to still infer that they turned out massively for GEJ? You are obviously confused. It is like arguing that OBJ rigged against Ojukwu in the SE in 2003 and at the same time claiming that Igbos turned out massively for OBJ in that same election. What a way to manifest stupidity and self contradiction!
On Edo’s location: It is closer to the coast than any Sad Middle East state, thus has a seaport which no ME state will ever have. How can a state with a seaport be of Northern location except in the mind of a miseducated wannabe SSner from far away Biafools Republic? Edo is the most strategically located state in Nigeria. The major East-West and North-South roads pass through the state. It is the gateway to the SS and even your backward Sad East from the two most important cities in Nigeria – Abuja and Lagos. It is the only state that houses almost all the mineral resources found in Nigeria. It is as well the most fertile state in the SS. In terms of gas deposit Edo is overwhelmingly the number 1 state. It also has crude oil, limestone, marble, gold, granite, gypsum, etc, all in commercial quantities. According to a recent British Embassy survey report, Edo state has over 2 million hectares of arable land compared with Anambra’s just 300,000 hectares. With these resources yet untapped Edo already ranks 4th in GDP per capita while Sad East states, with all their potentials so fully tapped that more than half the original population has moved away from home, are down down in the GDP/Capita table. The only oil fields so far found in Anambra are being disputed by Kogi as regards ownership and kogi seems to be having the upper hand on the basis of evidence.

Lol! Are you even listening to yourself? going by this logic, Igbos voted for GEJ because of Sambo.
They voted for OBJ because of Atiku.
See mental retardation at work.

Of course yes! Have Igbos ever really voted for or even endorsed any ticket devoid of Arewa component in Nigeria’s political history? CAPITAL NO! So you have no evidence to support your claim that Sambo’s Arewa presence in that ticket did not play an important role in attracting Igbos to it.

Good we are agreeing that SS is an artificial creation whose so aim is to achieve political unity to enable her renegotiate her oil wells that Awolowo and Enahoro helped Gowon create dysfunctional entities that rendered them incapable of having full control of, which OBJ, another Yoruba added salt to injury with his Land use decree, and oil company headquarters that Awo took to Lagos.

It is pure madness for you to claim that SS’s creation was aimed at forging political unity. Such a position shows that Igbos have not learnt ANYTHING from the ugly history of Nigeria. Or else how could people be brought together first for them to seek unity afterwards like Zik stupidly believed could happen with Nigeria after the un-negotiated amanlgamation? The SS, owing to the shared oppressed minority status, was already united in spirit far before its formal creation hence there have been no animosities among the states ever since its official birth. You know absolutely NOTHING about SS despite being a desperate wannabe SSner. The states created by Gowon were not meant to be dysfunctional but meant majorly to free the eastern section of today’s SS from Igbo Oppression and economic exploitation which informed Adaka Boro’s secession. Before creating them Gowon had already reversed the dysfunctional status into which Ironsi plunged the regions thus the resource control in place would have trickled down to as many states as later got created if Ojukwu had not become a national threat which necessitated Gowon’s suspension of the reversal of ironsi’s blunder. In your confused mind full of malicious propaganda against Awolowo and Enahoro, you accuse them of assisting Gowon to create the states whereas they joined Gowon’s Government well after the States had been created. The pain in your subconscious mind about Gowon’s states creation is simply that the exercise was responsible for the extrication of the minorities from Igbo domination and Hegemony in the Old Eastern Region.

Yes it was this convenient political union called SS that Edo showed it had no place in, when it became amphoteric to a common cause which this convenient political union championed in 2015.

There was no common cause in GEJ’s presidency in 2015 because he had already disappointed the SS and Edo particularly as of then. Such cause only existed in 2011 when it appeared that his candidacy was a rare and first-of –its-kind opportunity to salvage them from socio-economic oppression of the Nigerian establishment run by Hausa-Fulanis and Igbos.
When he, after his victory in 2011, proceeded to remove subsidy totally in 2012, almost the entire nation rose against him. He could not find any PDP governor from the SS credible enough to shore up moral support for the extremely unpopular decision. It was the Governor of Edo State who, at the risk of both his personal hard earned credibility and anti-party activities accusation, went boldly to Abuja, stood by him in the full glare of the public to defend the unpopular policy out of solidarity to the SS agenda which GEJ appeared to represent then. Solidarity is not measured much by the pattern of elections which could be rigged, but by rising to the task when the occasion really calls for it. I put it to you again: which other State’s governor in the entire SS, despite being of GEJ’s own PDP stock, could take the risk Oshiomhole/Edo state took to publicly stand with GEJ in defence of an unpopular policy which even his (Oshiomhole’s) own party was against when it really mattered? How many of the coward governors of the SE could muster an iota of courage to boldly come out and stand by GEJ like Oshiomhole did? “I like you” no be for mouth or voting.

However, Edo ended up being the SS state most neglected by GEJ coupled with a plot to impeach Oshiomhole later on. Edo would not take that at all. GEJ had obviously got infected with such level of ingratitude from Igbos who later totally formed a hedge of sycophancy around him thus insulating him from Edos who alone were bold enough to stand by him in his trying times. And you think the other SS states suffer short memory enough (like the Igbos do) to have forgotten that rare and bold gesture taken by Edo on all their behalf? Was Edo not therefore even forgiving enough to have still given him 60% against that background? Edo remains the boldest people in the SS followed by Delta. Unlike Igbos, they don’t pretend to love what they hate. If you don’t offend them they can love and die for you. But once you deal with them dubiously they give you double irrespective of how related you might be to them.
