Davijunson: Of course Ancelotti would be proud for his former assistant to beat him. But I'm sure that this game would be highly tactical between the Managers. It would be equally poised and a treat for the neutral football fan. I'm just an avid fan of Ancelottis style of football, brute penetration, not possession based like guardiola but having the ball and starting direct attacks (more vertical plays). |

PERFECT! Finally, RM doesn't have an easy draw anymore (although they might qualify nevertheless). Against Bayern, everything can happen, any team could qualify, but the other draws guarantee that even if RM do qualify, their path will be very difficult (Dortmund, Barca, Juventus or Atletico can be very dangerous for them over 2 legs). It will be interesting to see Ancelotti meet his former team, and whether or not he can be "better" than Pep, in eliminating Real - because if he can't do it, then Pep haters won't be able to hate on his Bayern spell anymore. Atletico vs Leicester... LOL. The only question here is .... who the h3ll will attack, LMAO (since they're both defensive teams), because the other question already has an answer: Atleti wil qualify. Dortmund vs Monaco - that's a great draw, with good football involved. Very balanced tie, and again, any of them could qualify. This draw will also guarantee an "outsider" further in the competition (and why not, possibly in the final). Exploring this latter possibility further, this CL season could have a very unbalanced final, with one heavyweight vs the "outsider" in this tie, which makes the QFs and the SFs critical for taking advantage of a relatively easier final. Of course, that's just speculation, but it could very well happen... Lastly, Barca vs Juventus. Big advantage for Barca in avoiding RM, Bayern or Atletico, for now. While Juventus are strong opponents, especially over two legs, I see them more capable of eliminating other heavyweights (e.g. Bayern or RM), than Barca. Apparently, Dybala's wish just got true, LMAO - now it remains to be seen if the Juventus' boasting words (that they are at Barca or RM's level) has a backing in reality. This will be a nice tie, but Barca must be very cautious and focused. IF they manage that, they will qualify further. Another Paris against Juventus will 100% eliminate Barca, and they must be aware of that. All in all, some ties with great football, in the attacking sense: RM vs Bayern, Monaco vs Dortmund, but also some great defensive football: Atleti vs Leicester and, depending on the circumstances and the day, maybe even Barca vs Juventus (in the event of a balanced scoreline, that is, of course). 3 Likes |

engrhorla:April is a busy month for Madrid but there is something you must understand, Madrid would rather prefer to forfeit the La Liga just so they could win the Champions League. And yes, we play Barcelona and Atletico again in between Bayern fixtures, but so long Bale is not injured, then I have nothing to worry about. The worst thing that would happen to us is for Ronaldo to be pressured. |
