It is d common man tooling around in his personal car that will get pulled up, harassed and attacked by the Customs. On the spot they will decide how much your car should have cost, accuse u of undervaluing your car as if u are a clearing agent or d customs officer that cleared it before and then prescribe customs duty arrears that will make one weep.

i won't be tired of educating you. if police is guarding a car and the car is stolen, the first person that will be arrested is the police officer guarding it. your logic is defective that is even if you did one in school. the custom officer in this case is an accomplice by accepting to collect lesser duty. in the case of a missing vehicle police is not there. So these are two separate issues. moreso, the custom officers deliberately allowed the duty to be stolen because it is impossible to clear the vehicle from the port without an accomplice in custom. so unlike police and car theft, duty theft can be 100 percent eradicated simply by flushing out corrupt custom officers. you got it dunce?

Stop asking stupid questions. The car was not purchased when Hameed Ali was the CGC so Mr Saraki was free to do anything. Under the Colonel, the car was routinely stopped to check for proper documentation which the driver couldn't provide so it was confiscated. When the driver presented the papers for the car, it was a fake, seeing that the duties paid were far less than the valuation of the car - more so, the paper presented was issued for another less expensive car and not the one that is currently owned by Saraki.

But my take in this matter is, assuming what the custom are saying is true, how does it make it too difficult for Ali to be in his uniform before the Senate? Is he wearing the uniform for mr Saraki? Is there no uniform for his post or office? Does the the Senate has the constitutional rights to ask him to dress on uniform before addressing them? Is Ali above the law? Why is Ali bringing up the matter now just because he was asked to be on uniform to the Senate? So why should Saraki pay 8M duty for a bullet proof car that is estimated to be 200M+ and he would not be suspicious?
