The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Rev. Mathew Hassan Kukah has said the former president of the country, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan never gave him a penny while he was in office despite their friendship.

The cleric revealed this in a recent interview granted to The Interviewer

Kukah who noted that there was never an exchange of a penny or a dollar between him and the former president said: “Despite my friendship with Jonathan over this long period of time, we never discussed a penny.”

He added: “We never discussed one dollar; we never exchanged a penny, and we never exchanged a dollar.”
