Of course I'll let my gf sit, not my friend. My girl will be the one marrying me, not my best friend and my best friend must understand this. If she/he doesnt understand this, than he/she is not fit to be my best friend.

even though you might have known your best friend longer than your girlfriend, when you are with her she should be your main concern. if a seating issue arises, your girlfriend should feel entitled to that front seat, and your best friend should be able to understand that.

As for me my friend should sit at the front seat cos this is the car she always be at the front seat. She should leave the front seat for him for that once in a while day.

i think it doesn't really matter as long as you don't think your GF isn't as important as your friend. i guess you should let whoever would be offended sit in front. usually it would be the girl as guys tend to be loyal to one another and don't take offense with little things like this. i would be okay with my BF sitting with his friend in the front as long as i'm secure in the relationship. it's only if he starts to treat me like i'm not important, or if the friend is staying for a long time that i'd get uneasy.
