So beautiful! Lagos is on another level, it's pretty clear that Yoruba leads, and Nigerians follow! Whether it be in development, media ownership, music, film, and any other industry. We are excelling in everything we do, we need to start running more for presidency, that's the only way Nigeria will change. We have God's guidance!

abi o! They will say they developed it when they can't even develop their home to half of Lagos. What kind of thinking is that? Thank God there are not many oil wells in Lagos, if Lagos had oil they will then say it is because of the oil. Let them continue to make excuses. We will continue to lead Sha!

Just keep chest beating, Lagos was developed for more than 30 years as a capital of Nigeria and was made economic capital of Nigeria by FG.
The white colonial masters and Nigeria government build Lagos,if any other state receive benefit like that they will also be like Lagos.Abuja is also beautiful because oil money is been used to build it.
In case if you don't know,Lagos is not part of western Nigeria in Nigerian constitution, should anything happen and Nigeria separate, the status of Lagos and Abuja will be determined.

Bros, this excuse is getting stale. The southeast is the richest in oil, yet they are still the most under developed. So stop with the stale excuse. Good leadership and governance leads to development. And there's no doubt that Lagos has had the best governors for the past 20+ years. Ogun state leads Nigeria with 75% of the country's foreign direct investment (abi you want to use capital excuse for this one too?). Yorubas dominate the film industry, the music industry, and the news media. These are just facts.

I am not attacking any other tribe in Nigeria, I am just proud of what my people are doing, as every tribe in Nigeria should be. If you are uncomfortable with that then too bad. But don't try to use excuses for our achievements because you feel uncomfortable with Yoruba success.

There nothing like Yoruba success here or been uncomfortable, Lagos was built by FG with Nigeria collective wealth and that is the fact.
If other state in Nigeria is build by FG with Niger delta oil money, that state will surely look like Lagos or Abuja.
FG make Lagos it economic capital after moving Nigeria capital from Lagos.
-Lagos receive high allocation from Nigeria.
-Bank headquarters, oil companies, airline, sea port,Embassies and what makes a country is all located in Lagos by FG.
All this is the source of economic development in Lagos and cause of migration towards Lagos.

Many of these children with no history lesson have come up again to relate Lagos development to the Nigeria factor. Lagos state name disagrees with such notion. The Brazilian Yoruba returnees change the face of Lagos From 1840s,1850s upward etc . Even before Nigeria ever think of existing, the families like JOAQUIM, VERA CRUZ, SOARES, TREZISES, PEREIRA, PINEIRHO, MARTINEZ, MARINHO, DA ROCHA etc made it happen for Yoruba land. No wonder that some people will be perpetually be playing the Second Fiddle To Yoruba.

May God RESET some people's brain whose mentality is programmed with HATRED.

Guy I think the HATRED is the other way round because if some are calling boldly for independence of their region, it mean they don't give a bleep about your Lagos rather it was your people that is shouting one Nigeria the more in all the social media.
If Lagos was not developed as a capital of Nigeria for many years as Abuja is been developed not it won't look like that.

I'm relocating back to Lagos ASAP

Please don't. It's a highly populated and overcrowded place. Don't allow what the OP posted deceive you. He clearly concentrated on activities on the Island and left out other suburbs like the Ikorodus, Ageges, Dopemus, Egbedas, Ojotas, Apapas, Okokomaikos, Mile 2, Alabas, Epes etc and even on the Island, I will take a Lagos of 50 years ago to Lagos of now. Then Lagos had a plan, everywhere seemed organized. Now, Lagos is highly polluted, so much environmental waste, traffic congestion, noise pollution etc

You should remember how Lagos was an haven for Criminals, Dirt littered all over, bad roads etc when the capital was moved from Lagos to Abuja. It was virtually abandoned.

It took the intervention of the Yoruba Governors to make it wat it is today. Many of your people were abusing Lagos then so whether favoured or not it doesn't change the fact that it is our ancestral land.

The North dominates federal government decisions with 19 of the 36 states and the southeast is the richest in natural resources. What does the southwest have? Both the north and the south east have more reason to be better off today yet you say Lagos is the most well off because of a capital that was moved over 25+ yrs ago? What you're saying doesn't make any sense.

Nigeria is not ready for development because FG uses lagos as it only economic capital, almost all the good pass through lagos port, travelling out of Nigeria, one have to exit through lagos, visas you have to go to lagos.
sensible countries that want development will develop all parts of their country to ease movement and people suffering.
In good countries like South Africa, if you live in Cape town, you dont need to go to Durban to clear your goods or travel out of South Africa from almost a single point causing traffic congestion and multiple accidents.

Why will FG not standardize Enugu international airport, port harcourt international airport, kano international airport, calabar port or ph port or Ibaka sea part, onitsha inland port and benue inland ports.
Everything in Nigeria is based in lagos and some of you are beating your chest because Nigeria is not a true country.

In Germany you fly direct to Berlin, frankfurt,Dusseldorf,Bremen,Hamburg etc,in Nigeria you fly to only lagos and exit from there to travel to east and north.

You made me laugh. .....this isn't pre-civil war era when your ancestors rely on the oil rich Niger Delta to seriously agitate for secession.
Stop categorising SE with little or no oil with SOUTH SOUTH that's blessed with oil resources.
