Are there separate rules and accountability for terrorism originating from the West and executed on their behalf by companies like Shell, Pfizer. . .than there is by groups like MASSOB or individuals like Abdul Mutallab against Western interests?

How many Nigerians have been killed both in the Delta and in the North by direct actions, respectively, of Shell and Pfizer?

US, Israel, UK and Australia practice state/nation terrorism by killing or maiming innocent people using different means from starvation to bombs and guns.

These nations believe that might is right and would do anything to silence opposition, use media propaganda, wage illegal wars, manufacture lies while giving out aid to some other nations so as to be seen as compassionate nations.

Groups such as Hezbollah, MEND, Hamas, Alqaeda etc practice group terrorism by killing or maiming innocent people using different means from kidnapping to suicide attacks and explosives.

These groups have sympathy from those they are defending and in most cases they have good reasons to fight back. My only problem with them is that innocent lives are lost. If they could tackle and target the real culprits in power then I have 100% support for them. In my opinion, no innocent person deserves to die for any reason whatsoever.

Let us remember that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter and we should begin to address the WHY and not the WHAT because the WHY may be the key to understanding the problem and apportioning blames properly.

Back to Muttalab, is Muttalab not a product of the international community considering his education? For a 23 yr old to have gone to school in a British school in Togo, Britain, Egypt, Dubai and Yemen it goes to show that he hardly spent time in Nigeria therefore attempting a suicide attack is not Made-In-Nigeria as simple as that.

The act of the Lagos bomber cannot said to be terrorism if we consider terror as defined in the present world. The guy is just a criminal intend on killing people just like there are many of them in America killing and maiming innocences people. There should be distinction between a mere criminal and somebody engage in ideological warefare. Most terrorists activities now are classified according the religious intentions of the actor.
