From my inbox,

I am 36 and he is 39. My boyfriend makes like N45,000 every month and he doesn’t have savings. He will like to change his job but he is not getting a better Job. He wants us to get married and start a family. I have a job that is very fine but I don’t think I can support a family on my own. I am really confused because if I want to have a child naturally I would need to start right away.

My question is should I see his income as a flaw to deal with or something that will make me unhappy in the long term?

Chioma

of course it's enough to start a family except you want to live extravagantly but seriously it's enough for a start

Ummm...This is very crucial.. Starting a family is ain't a joke but a lot of couples went thru this kind of situation tho like financially untable, some are bankrupt, some are even drown in debts but still they keep pushing & hoping for the best. I think this all about perseverance despite of having low income

Chioma I hope you will listen to the two posters above me.

You didn't state your income but it seems to be okay. Combined with his, it should be enough.

You have the following choices:

1. Wait for his finances to improve.
2. Wait for someone else.
3. Go ahead and marry this guy.
4. Stay single.

Choose wisely.

Greedy or selfish, which should I qualify you with?

Since you have good job,why not go ahead with the marriage pending till he gets a better job?

Besides, let's put it in the other way round. Supposed he is the one with the good job and you earn 45k p/m, won' you go ahead and marry him?

"Use ur head" like comedian AY said. Don't come here crying that dat he has been snatched o.

Hmmmmmm! My questions r 1) does he have potentials of becoming gr8r? 2) is Ur job permanent or U could be laid off on flimpsy excuses? 3) Is Ur location economical? 4) r U planning a flamboyant wedding & all fanciful tinz?.....If U answwrd Yes to 1-3 & No to 4, then U r good 2 go cos av seen a family start with 55K(husband & wife) in 2010 & today dey have a beautiful house of their own & currently using an SUV as their ride with 2 kids, all U need is prayas & focus, 4get side attractions. ....

Being married opens up blessings that u might never receive while single. Take a leap of faith. But I advise yu to do family planning. Nor just go dey born anyhow... God's grace
