Obasanjo out of his greediness deliberately forced on nigeria a half dead man as president and a clueless person as his vice.

Jonathan was a big political mistake.

He was not mature for the office he found himself, his level of cluelessness was conspicuously shown in his policies and decisions and the smart rouges around him really took advantage of him. An example was when someone like Obanikoro who cannot deliver his street in a fair election was threatening that he will not support him if did not give him a ministerial appointment, Jonathan succumbed even when he didn't have need for Obanikoro.

Just read the nonsense you typed. Clueless? And he made Nigeria the biggest economy in Africa. You guys really deserve buhari. I pray he wins a second time

I just finished reading this book.

I must doff my hat for Segun Adeniyi.

Jonathan found himself as the proverbial meat in the sandwich. By some twist of fate, I am inclined to agree with OBJ that Jonathan was too small for the presidency. As I said somewhere, his background and experience did not prepare him for the high wired jungle that is Nigerian politics. He was just a pawn on the chess board. He was overwhelmed by the trend of events around him. In the process, he continued to wobble and fumble. In his sober moments, he WL be wondering what hit him.

However,I pity my fellow citizens. The level of elite and adult delinquency displayed by the various actors is the cause of where we are today. A squandering of time.resources and opportunity by our leaders. Our politicians are only after their own. An interplay of biigotry, nepotism , greed and mischief by political actors, crisscrossing the political spectrum chasing filthy lucre while the masses line up to cast votes and support opponents who are actually united in the mad rush for our common patrimony.

The closing chapter portrays Jonathan as a wailer. Somebody should tell.him that this is politics. He came, he saw and should take his medicine. No complains. He certainly did not conquer, let nobody deceive him.He should have remained in Bayelsa. But God works in mysterious ways.

The question is whether we have learnt any lessons? Is this what Buhari is going through?

The answer , they say, is blowing in the winds.

God bless Nigeria.

You can spot a BMC bot when you see one. Someone who has held all executive positions at both state and federal levels, starting out as Deputy governor, governor, Vice president and president for more than 5 years didn't conquer because he lost an election?

Same election that Buhari lost 3 times?

I'd like to know what your own father has achieved in life.

I believe the Op.is not talking of election failure here. What he meant by failed is his weakness as a commander in chief and how his government was overthrown by the so called mediocre who now make him a scapegoat at the end.

GEJ was too small to rule Nigeria, OK. Those of them who were too big to have ruled people like OBj or Buhari what were their achievements in office? If you are sincere check the record of our past presidents there stories look alike at the end of their regimes. The coming back of Buhari have never change anything. The solution lies with Nigerians to start calling a spade a spade and demand better reform for the country in general. Improve our voting pettern and reduce attaching religion or he is my brother ideas for election. This is our major challenge to confront the elites and politicians, we need majority who thinks alike and believe on a better Nigeria for all . We can blame anybody but hey focusing on what is the solution is the point. Nigerians is not united to solve our problems yet. GEj did not do well yes but some of us foreseen it that Buhari will fumble too. Politicians dividing us along our 6 political zones is a collateral damage and against the interest of one Nigeria. We need a popular votes with the right minds to form the culture of a one-nation.
