The main aim of God in at Genesis is to have something on the earth that will be like minded with Himself, after His own heart (Gen 1:26-27) so that they will govern the earth as He is governing in heaven, this brought about the creation of man even in the image of God. He create Adam and Eve and breathe upon them the breath of life, later they fell into the sin of disobedience which made them to fall from the cordial relationship with God. (Gen2; 3:9). After this event God has started raising Unto Himself a man after His heart. A man after God’s own heart is a man that follow to the letter the commandment of God no matter the situation or the condition of the present world(Mk 12:29-30)

I. Attribute of a man after God’s own heart.
For anybody to be after God’s heart he/she must possess some characteristics as listed below;

-Respectful
-Loving (deut.6:5;Ps18:1-3)
-Trusting (Ps27:1;Prov.3:5;Eph.6:10)

-Faithfulness(Job 1:21,22; 2:9,10 ; 2Ki 16:20 )

-Deliverance from enemies (Ps37:40)
-Safety in times of danger (Ps37:40)
-Prosperity(Ps112:1-3)
IV. Outcome of not being after God’s heart
Anybody that will not walk after God’s heart cannot see God i.e cannot inherit the kingdom of God also they will be expose to torment and hardship form devil because they have left the rock of their salvation.
Failure to please God leads to failure in inheriting the kingdom of God also inheriting the earth which result in losing
everything, repent from your wrong doings and determine to live a life that please God as from today(Mt 3:2)
