He had a membership to Costco even though he rarely used it. He did buy bottled water and toilet paper from Costco - in bulk- but that was it. He was tall, but not overly tall. Almost exactly six foot three inches tall, with a willowy build that belayed his strength and agility. He weighed a very slender 205 pounds, every ounce wrapped around that frame like coiled wire and solid steel. He looked like a cross between a dancer and a boxer tempered with the thick thighs of a sprinter, all perfectly proportioned to carry clothes or a woman fantasy with ease. He could have modeled his body, or his face, for a professional fee. He did not.

Vanity was not one of his character traits. Mirrors, for him, were for shaving and tying a tie. For some reason, without a mirror, he could never get the knot right on a tie; it always made him chuckle. He was already a noted Calligrapher at 18 years of age. He had more than a dozen examples of his work scattered in museums around the world, and yet with all that fine motor control, he couldn’t tie a tie, without a mirror. It made him smile.
