Show us more . . . .
Women are in all trade already, i am sure some are already riding the Okada for business too.
Since some of the men are prick heads and can provide, you will be surprised that some men are at home while the woman is doing the hustling

Well, I think after living in poverty people forget shame. I don't blame them.

am I the only one seeing males in the photos?

Bootlegging is risky regardless which gender is doing it.
Re: What A Man Can Do. . . by Nobody: 6:02pm On Jan 12, 2010
@fhemmmy
i would rather that a mother/sister etc is doing that than selling their bodies to the highest bidder in the name of poverty and greed.

its my petrol they stole. . .

i dont keep it in the house - but by the generator shed

wetin man go do?

na gragra btw me and my old man - hes a doctor, and we always used diesel gen back then - too many accidents - will soon have no choice but to migrate - or buy steel jerry cans - i have kids

diesel gen no be option right now

theres one horror story of a multistorey block of flats almost everyone had a gen, typically on the veranda

and petrol
a fire started in someones apartment na so the fire continued spreading - because practically everyone had fuel stored

the health and safety risks Nigerians play with.  one accident and it's a chain reaction.

@pix.if this place is lagos(i just hope its not),then i dont see any difference with aba.na wa for all the lies i've been hearing on nairaland that lagos is more developed than the rest of nigeria.wind don open fowl nyash.
Re: What A Man Can Do. . . by Fhemmmy: 7:07pm On Jan 12, 2010
what bothers me is the fact that we heard the news all the time of how 100s of people are dead cos of gas this and gas that and yet people never learn . . . how much wld they made on one jerry can of gas?
Is it worth the risk?
Re: What A Man Can Do. . . by Nobody: 7:21pm On Jan 12, 2010
well . . .

lets do the maths

10 litre jerry can na like 1k add n50 for buying in keg

right now- that has a street value of 5k

if like so many of em, your dubious - you mix it with dirty water

they donn't store they sell sharp sharp

its those pipeline vandals that are really taking foolish risks

there is no fuel scarcity at the time - so how much do they expect to get for the risks of being close to a gushing source of petrol

bawomolo:

you have no idea sad sad

there was this morning - i was able to get petrol first thing in the morning. my boot was full of jerrycans. i was doing some inspections that day - so i drove al around lagos by noon the fumes from the petrol had given me a baaad headache

yep!!!! their desperation/greed/stupidity is greater than anything else. just a passing motorist flicking a cigarette could do the trick. . . . . . . . .
Re: What A Man Can Do. . . by Nobody: 8:08pm On Jan 12, 2010
yes, its bad and dangerous and has been going on for donkey years.

Of course prostituting is safer and carries no risks.

The women could try that I guess.

better than doing manual labor.

My mum hawked foodstuffs as a child- I guess I should look down on her and her parents for being so poor.
