What has this senate got to offer to make us happy for once. Another strategy to devalue our denomination the more by killing our lower denominations same way they did the other time. Coins for the poor n paper for the rich. Hmmmmmmm.!
Re: Senate Wants CBN To Convert Lower Naira Notes Into Coins by hoodmenconcept(m): 10:24pm On May 23, 2017
Not a bad idea but not with 5NAira upwayrd but with lower currency such as 50k, 1Naira and 2Naira
It can reduce the cost of printing paper money.

I am surprised....what do you expect from a group of pple with no sound knowledge of issues or having any cerebral quotient to start talking like sane minds.
Rather than convert the lower money to coins, 50kobo, N1 notes shld be printed while #1000 notes shld be withdrawn from circulation and discontinued the usage.

Why not re-introduce the good old coins back instead of converting 'lower' currencies into coins.
Americans still spend 'one cent' a hundred of which make '$1'.
there is $2 note too, and all coins in accepted , Nigeria leaders has problem,

Mr. Bukar must be high on expired Jamaica vegetable. Embezzlement is really affecting his sense of reasoning. His not suggesting how to make our economy stronger so with 50 kobo we can be getting things like biscuits, sachet water and so on and all he could think of is to phase off #5 #10 #20 and #50

Bunch of rogues.

A better idea would be to phase out the N1,000 note, and make the N500 bill the highest denomination in order to encourage more cashless transactions.
Re: Senate Wants CBN To Convert Lower Naira Notes Into Coins by riddo2(m): 4:43am On May 24, 2017
lie, not Suludo. It was Sanusi. Suludo wanted N1000 to be N10 and those N1, 50k to be note again. Ghana did it and succeeded.[/quote]
Re: Senate Wants CBN To Convert Lower Naira Notes Into Coins by 999west: 5:46am On May 24, 2017
This Senator has no job
I cannot believe his argument
Coin or note
The most important thing is to have transaction done
Coins are heavy
I think in this era
No body can carry such weight around in the name of money including the Senator
Re: Senate Wants CBN To Convert Lower Naira Notes Into Coins by kelvincc: 5:53am On May 24, 2017
With this kind of development, #100 will soon be used as #10 because inflation will keep going as people pursue the paper money. The lower paper money denominations therefore will fizzle out again just like 1kobo, 10kobo, 50kobo and #1
