I feel glad some African-Americans do realize the importance of co-operating with African elites where necessary. There were concerted effort in the 80's to get African-Americans think Africa, but when the American government realized it, they stunted this development by bombarding them with negative images of hunger, dying kids, war, mud houses, and African villages. Today, African-Americans thinks Africa is all about poverty. They have no idea there're African cities much more developed and expensive than Hollywood. African-Americans have no idea there're Africans who own 3 private jets, fleet of expensive cars, and live in private estates like they do in Hollywood. Ironically, African elites on the other hand feels rubbing shoulders with white people elevates their status. This has led to an unfortunate dis-connect between African-Americans and Africans. And it needs be corrected immediately, but our traditional rulers and others who should be working on these things are asleep. 2 Likes 1 Share |
