Many young graduate has missed it all , unless you are rich in & outside, you will always fail a job interview .Why? It does not seat well to keep wine in a broken bottle. In all of your interviews, you were given backing for fare out of commiseration. What does that mean? You may be looking penurious and too agitated to be trusted with a job hence the compassion .What do you do? Stop looking for a job and seek for money and spack up your confidence, self presentation and awake the positive energies within you, that will help you to interact and move with quality men. When you do that and notice new friends around you , Then! things has begun to change for good and even job may look for you. How do you look for money? Quote me if you're interesting.

No one it's easy. It's never easy, but one needs to start somewhere. You can't just start from the top without bypassing one challenge or the other. I used to carry about this mentality of "once you're a graduate, a mouthwatering job automatically awaits you". This wishes hardly come to pass and the more reason why we need to map out our future clearly just in case things go sour.

Well, honestly I didn't finish the OP, I will try and edit my post.

So after your mum sold her bike for 110k to support you... you want to pay her back by committing suicide... Bross... think again..

You've told us of the several efforts you've put in... in trying to secure a Job... but you've not said anything about your prayer life...

My brother GOD can give you anything, and I mean anything...

All the treasures of the heavens and the earth belongs to the LORD ... he is the ALPHA and OMEGA the BEGINNING and the END...

Let me share a testimony...

After graduating from the university... I waited some years for a good job but without success... though I had a job... but the position was not befitting for a university Graduate... I needed a better JOB... and I took the following steps..

1. I remembered a vow I made to GOD while I was in Secondary school and I fulfilled the vow...

2. I became very obedient to my parents so that I can earn their blessings...

3. I deliberately abstained from all forms of sexual activities and alcohol... I laid off the girls, reduced social media activities and focused on GOD ...

4. I entered into the new year... fasting and praying... at one time.. I fasted for 40 days.. another time I fasted for 14 days and again I fasted for 7 days.. I lost so much weight that people kept asking me if I was sick... I simply replied that I was fine..

5. I stopped jumping from one church to another... I located a good church and attended church programs regularly including a Holy Ghost Service by Pastor E.A Adeboye... in that service... Pastor Adeboye prophesied great things and I claimed the prophesies... I participated in Holy communion services...

6. I downloaded powerful worship songs to my phone and sang them to the LORD both day and night...

7. I knew and I could feel that I had started building a wonderful relationship with GOD... I could hear GOD speak to me... and I knew he heard me...

8. I made a covenant to GOD and told him what I would do to his glory if he gave me that desired job...

Now within 6 months... these were the results that followed...

8. GOD healed me completely from all my diseases and sicknesses... my health was perfect..

9. I was promoted and giving a higher position at my place of work..

10. I submitted job applications to two of the most highly paid organizations in the country..

11. I was invited for job interviews by the two organization and my performance at the interviews were excellent... deep within me... I knew only GOD could make such happen the way it did..

12. Both organizations offered me Job employment.... the salaries were mind blowing... and I was initially confused on which one to go for... meanwhile I had a second class lower division in Geography... just imagine...

13. I was able to afford that dream car... that dream house... that dream wife... and I could travel anywhere around the globe for vacations or business trips...

14. Those people who were once complaining that I was loosing too much weight started complaining that I was gaining too much weight...

15. I caught up with my mates that succeeded before me and I even overtook them...

I Laughed and I laughed loud...

GOD is real... GOD is true... come to him and he would give you rest...

Bross... GOD has not condemned you... so please don't condemn yourself...

sometimes in life... to become full you need to be empty..

That thought of suicide in your mind is from the devil and surely not from GOD...

If GOD can do it for me then surely he can do it for you...

Draw close to GOD...

Please don't give up on GOD...

I hate reading anything concerning jobs in Nigeria. Even if you were luckily employed, how much would be the salary? Here in Dubai many companies are looking for workers and they pay well with free accommodation. Here is a country where even ordinary cleaner earn nothing less than #150,000 monthly. Make a decision now and come Dubai, all you need is just a little cash for your visa and flight ticket and I promise you I will give you a good job just 2days of your arrival. That's my work here in Dubai. for more enquiry. Wapsapp me on. +971503498399.

Smiles, funny you. Just be strong. You can get a teaching job for the main time. At least a pay of 25-30k will get you back on track, take you off thoughts of suicide, in a year you can rent a room, be a man of your own while you hunt for better job or you can consider a business to supplement your teaching job. where are you based, if in Ph, I can meet up with you for a little talk. killing your self is not the answer. Don't allow those mocking you, see reasons to celebrate. Pick your self up and show them that you can stand even their wind .kind regards bro

Someone sent this is to me, let me share with you too. It's a letter to the Nigerian youths.

LETTER TO NIGERIAN YOUTHS!

Throw Away That Degree Otherwise You Will Die Poor

Most of the educated people in Nigeria are poor. Majority of the educated earn less than N55,000 for a salary before tax and other deductions. When the deductions are put into consideration, the net salary comes to around N50,000. The net salary then suffers from loan deductions of up to N15,000 leaving the salary at around N35,000. The landlord then demands for his N15,000 and monthly shopping takes away N10,000 leaving one with a N10,000. The bus will demand for N300 going to and from work and relatives get another N2,500. The whole salary is gone and borrowed money starts operating. The borrowed money includes short loans and salary advances.

The difference between poverty and prosperity is property. A prosperous person has property to his name while a poverty stricken person has no property to show. Using this understanding, therefore, most of the degree holders are poverty stricken, borrowing money to buy chicken and chips, pizza, and a car.

The biggest excuse for getting paid such low amounts of money and having to sit and work for another person for 30 days is THE DEGREE that one possesses and that’s all. This has made most of the degree holders very poor to poverty stricken and will die that way most likely. A degree holder does not know how to generate money unless that money is generated for the employer. A degree holder is so dependent on the salary that he can do anything to get a job but will not think of starting a business of his own to employ others.

Interesting Facts!

1. A degree holder is not prepared to sell chips but is very happy to work for hungry lion (companies).

2. A degree holder is not prepared to sell popcorn in the street but is very happy to work for Dangote outlet in the city and mum river-sides.

3. A degree holder is not prepared to sell second hand clothes but is very happy to be employed by Zenith Bank which the business of selling stocks and looking for customers in a scorching Sun.

4. A degree holder is not prepared to make N150,000 monthly doing his own business but is very happy to work at the till in a bank getting paid N25,000.

5. A degree holder is not prepared to start a company and grow it in two to three years but will spend three years searching for a job.

6. A degree holder is not prepared to sell food to students but will be happy to be reporting to a boss with no qualifications as Office Assistant as long as he is paid N30,000 for a salary.

7. A degree holder is so eager to get out of this country and work in another country than spend time to develop his own country.

8. A degree holder staying in a foreign land (Nigerian) is very keen to condemn Nigeria but never contributing to the development of this country.

9. A Nigerian degree holder would rather sweep the streets of London or USA than start a business to make money in her father land – others work in people’s homes doing some work (cleaners).

10. A degree holder in Nigeria will watch porn on his laptop but never sit to write a book using the same laptop to sell and make money.

11. A degree holder will blame the government for lack of jobs even after he was on government bursary for him to have his degree.

12. Nigeria is blessed with young people who have master’s degree and others are doctors in different technical fields such as IT and Engineering but all of them have failed to create a cartoon character or develop a movie from the same instead very happy to buy Tom and Jerry for their children thereby promoting American and UK.

A school I visit, there is a man that is of very humble background. He does not speak English but sells Coke, Fanta and Sprite at N80 each making a profit of N10 on each drink. He also sells chips at N50 making a profit of N17 on each portion. Not less than 80 students buy chips and a drink every single day. This means he makes a profit of N27 for a drink and chips and a total profit of N2,160 per day…every single day. In ten days he makes a profit of N21,600 in twenty

Well, I just got back from a job interview which was slated to be for SSCE/OND holders (I'm an Economics B.Sc holder, through with Service). I've been at home for like 3 months so I'm kinda desperate and that drove me to go attend the interview.

They said the salary is 35k (Mondays to Saturdays o). I almost broke down in tears there sef when I heard the salary (I wasn't expecting much more than that anyways since its an SSCE/OND job).

But wetin man go do...
If they call me, I'll goan start Abeg.

My name is Joshua. I live in Lagos. I finished my youth service last year. I have a 3rd class degree.

Few days ago, I was in Your shoes. I was confused, frustrated & tired. Anxiety & bitterness had the best of me. I literally walked by the roadside wishing a car could just hit me & end it all.

Then God revealed something to me. I had been magnifying my problems. I ridiculed myself. I had sabotaged myself from the inside. All my eyes could see was sorrow.

God reminded me of the fact that my most successful years thus far have been in times when I only looked up to Jesus. I remembered those years when my major goal was to be a good ambassador of Christ. I remembered the amazing results & peace of mind that I experienced in those days.

So I took my eyes away from my problems & I started looking up to Jesus.

I got a job yesterday (Thursday). I got another offer yesterday night.

I started a schedule to pray 3 times in a day. Though I have not been consistent, God has shown me mercy.

Learn from my story bro.

On a serious note, i would be brutally frank with you. You don't have mental fortitude

You give up easily & you have an entitlement complex.

Look inwards at yourself. The truth is bitter, but YOUR OWN FATHER if he concludes you are lazy, maybe you should ask why

I spent almost 7 years without a job, depressed like you, but kept trudging on. The job i eventually got paid for all the tears.

I agree with you that the "elastic band of resilience" differs from each individual, but would you describe someone who hangs himself after failing first homework as strong? There must be a minimum standard (very subjective, i know).

BUT you conveniently didn't see where is OWN FATHER assessed him the same way i did. Maybe the father is wrong / right, but i can bet you that the Father knows him FAR BETTER than you and i do.

He should look inwards and that was my point. I was unemployed for 7 good years...at a point i dated a devilish girl for 4 good years (believe me we fought on every single sentence grin). But all these negative experiences made me stronger.

Telling his mother to sell her bike for an avenue that wasn't guaranteed was very self-centred. His dad has probably observed acts like this.

Carrot & stick...this boy needs stick for now cool

PS- i am not the only person who has observed that he doesn't want to start "small" or do an "undignifying job"

Ater service it was get certified..ahh, no wahala.. i got my NEBOSH certificate..then again some said it was connection..ok, i joined lots of proffesional whatsapp groups after much work, i even had to pay for some...funny enough the so called proffesional group failed woefully.

twice i was called for a job brief..twice i was rejected..the first reason was because i am igbo the woman saw my name and her countenance changed though she dashed me 2k and told me the usual words i would get back to you..ok, fair enough. The second was in portharcourt i was rejected because
of my church..Roman catholic.. hmmm. A young man was also rejected for same reason he kept on complaining while i was just laughing..though later i begged him for #100 for my TP, he gave me sha.. he is a nice man.

ok. i had to go back to the drawing board..met some people and they said i should just do further courses..oooo! course again, ok.. no wahala. i begged my mum to sell her bike for 110k so i can add 30k and do process safety and loss prevention..she accepted.. i sold the bike and did the course.. yet, no interview call. i said ok let me visit companies and give them the cv..my brother no show.

i sat still again..and then reviewed my cv..paid 2k for push CV to review the cv..still no luck.. downloaded CV review app used it time and time again. same results.. no calls.

the only thing i get everyday is insults from my Father and some relatives of how lazy and weak i am...this is not fair life itself is not fair..is it not better to die? after working hard in school and after school for about 8-10 years no result for it..

People will always say dont be tired but my brother i don tire... i know many of us have same story, but for me the only thing i can do to make the pain easy.. is write..

Nigeria is not worth it.. did i tell you i briefly went into business?.. but how can you do well in business without long time experience.. it is always difficult..well, the pressure is much and i see that breaking point is close... only God knows Tomorrow.

These days the only thing that comes to my mind is suicide..i have downloaded lots of books to see if i can find a solution.. but none yet.. please if you have good advice for me i am willing to hear it.

thanks
E Joshua
