Why use helicopter when you could just use plain clothed police with regular car to watch place. Another option is just petrol area and watch socoal media feed.

Seems unnecessary honestly. The guys movements aren't mystery but if you guys think so. I doubt anything will come out of this. If this helicopters is supposed to be spying on him it's doing a bad job. It's already blown it's cover drawing so much attention to itself.

It's not likely the purpose is to spy on him, but for monitoring and surveillance (to make him and his followers aware that they're being closely monitored) so as to nip things in the bud.
