Is it Stupid day on Nairaland today? The article says she was arrested for raising alarm that got the guy lynched because she saw a gun on him. It is possible that the neighborhood's got a bad reputation for armed robbery and she simply did what anybody else would have done. Dont jumb on the bandwagon, think for yourself. God didnt fill your head with sour sop, its brain in there.

I followed the news here ghana. She knew who the man was., she lit the fire too. Why would someone with visible pistol ask for direction if they were a thief? Its an assasination. The case is more than what you are reading on blogs. It goes way above. Even a house of assembly member is involved.

2.the soldier must ve been telling them he's a military personnel but since d old hag just wanted his blood it all feel on d soil.
I don't tink u should justify her raising false alarm and instigating odas into killing him. Many innocent lives have been lost like this there is no justification this was only heard cos he's a military man and more are to come if care is not taken to put an end to jungle justice

What do you mean by that? But if she sees true armed robbers she won't be security conscious. After all how many true armed robbers had she raised alarm on in the time last? Her history and type of person should be verify.

The woman was right in raising an alarm whether false or true. It was left for the guy to identify himself.
The mob was wrong in lynching him.
If you think she was wrong go spend a week in a criminal laden society.

My thoughts exactly, it's the jungle justice mentality I blame, it's a really unfortunate situation. Plus the guy even had a gun and he still didn't shoot upon being attacked, poor soul, this story really touched me.

So you think that one Soldier could defend himself against the mob? What would happen when his bullets ran out? Those people were out for blood that day and I doubt they would have listened to anything the soldier had to say.
nevertheless he would not have died in such a gruesome and painful manner, in fact chances are, he would still be alive if he had tried! Killing one or two persons would have made others back down, RIP to him and may his killers be brought to book to show that justice and righteousness is still alive.

I was in the Nigerian Army albeit briefly in 2008(Nigerian Defence academy) I left coz I couldn't cope, common sense dictates that he should have tried to go with some offices under his command as a commissioned officer or have a good rapport in whichever community you find urself in. Military men here are mean and wicked because we are hardened during training and superiority complex is forced down on us, mistaken identities always doesn't end well in this part of the world Google Aluu 4 killings for more insight
