You watch too many movies. In Nigeria, violent criminals don't get the luxury of legal representation. They are tortured until they sing. After they have confessed, they would then be allowed to get a lawyer.

I disagree that this criminal is very smart. If he was, he would have a solid attorney on retainer. He wouldn't even say a word during and after his arrest. Believe me, he'd probably not spend a year in jail. How many of his crimes can be judiciously proven in a court of law? The man was arrested in his mansion not at a crime scene. Instead he starts yapping to the police and reporters. I'd expect a man of his caliber to have the most expensive legal team this nation can offer on retainer bc a day like this is to be expected for his line of work. And they say he's smart. For where? Just a common criminal

There are all kinds of criminals. That's why I refered to the kinds at Evan's caliber. The music won't be the same like others. The first thing he would have done is call his lawyer when his home was besieged. But I get it. I sound like I watch too many movies. Naija na zoo...

It will take me 60 days to arrest any kidnapper.

all you need to do is to record the serial numbers of the "ransom" money.
Alert Major banks and BDC to be vigilant on the serial number.
Make the serial number known to the public and reward anybody that bring information like 10,000 naira to one single bill or note. It will look like whistle blowing business of LAI Mohammed.

Police in civilized countries and Asia are more successful because there is always a monetary reward for any information.
Asia govt recruit Okada and Taxi drivers as secret police. Paying them salary.
In Asia any individual or police that bring information to drug arrest will be paid minimum of $500 depending the size of the drugs.

Nigeria police should work with Okada and Taxi drivers as undercover police. They can pay them per information if not on monthly salary bases.
If they say any citizen that bring vital information that lead to criminal arrest should be paid 20,000 naira. Crime will disappear from street and police will spend less or ammunition

Is it that the arrest has intoxicated these officers or they were never trained to be discreet? What's the unheard of thing in taking okada to catch a criminal. People have had to remain under water, remain inside trash trucks, cross - dress...all in a bid to catch criminals and heavens have not fallen. Do they think it's wise to expose themselves unnecessarily like this? This is so stupid

Please i want to ask a question; Had the pharmacist they abducted not escaped through the awesome grace of God at work, would they have even gotten that close? So why attribute it to the tact or smartness of the officer in charge, to the extent of even promoting him, i don't see the point. Instead of praising the pharmacist for bravery and thanking god for his wonders we are celebrating these officers like they started and finished the operation with expertise instead of sheer coincidence...
