Once again I ask the question. Does the question for self determination equate to war. Who is fighting who. Have the Igbo's said they want war or they want their own country. If there is anyone prepared to do the fighting and warring it is Nigeria and they should give serious reasons why they fight to keep the geographical entity but cannot fight for the equitable rights and prosperity of its people. The Sheikhs assertions that critical mass is a criterion for unity is just laughable. A father that cannot care for his many children leaving some in misery has no business fighting for his family name for he is already naked before his clans men whom the children run to for succor. Japan has a population one twentieth that of China yet it was just recently overtaken in size of its productivity being an economic superpower for decades past. Everyday you hear news about Nigerians in diaspora mainly for the wrong reasons in increasing intensity and more dying to get there. Are these not symptomatic of a failed country. When peaceful Revolution seems impossible, then a violent Revolution is inevitable when strong ideology & "self determination" are the driving factors which gushes out from sorrow & pains of the past.These situation at hand can't be solved by merry round table talk,it's an ideology from every Igbo u see around that they don't belong to Nigeria even if some openly admits it & others don't .Everyday,glaring scenarios are there to prove those facts. don't actually support the whole situation right now even if I'm Igbo,I think not only the Igbo have had enough,almost all Nigerians are not satisfied with the way the government is runned.Some feels the government is there rightful inheritance, while others are being treated like second class citizens.I think there is more to be done than round table talk,quit notice issuing and other stuffs that can't really help matters.#watches how the drama unfolds. |

I am dead certain that even the most loyal supporters of Mr President wish he could have handled this matter differently and the lack of strategic thinking that started with Abacha and the Ogonis, Obasanjo and the Niger-Delta, Yaradua and the Boko movement, Jonathan and the full blown insurgency continues.
