I know ours is to preach but we should be wise about it. Remember it's God that gives people new hearts to convert and be saved. If we know this we would not have to beg or influence people to accept our gospel since the power to do that isn't in their hands but in God's.

If people are not willing and only ready to mock, they are fools. Leave them and preach to others. Paul knew that men are natural born rebels and that only God can save that's why he did not waste his time with those Jews who vehemently opposed him but followed God's leading to other nations willing to accept the gospel of Christ.

There is the role the saved man must play...Jesus reached out to us first but we could reject him (as the new testament pharisees like Demas and Diotrephes did in: 2Timothy 4:10 and 3John1:9 [Matthew25:40] respectively) and that terminates the saving power of the LORD!
