My brother, you would not regret it if you did.Currently using one for almost a year now rated 4000w @ peak.I use it for my deep freezer, electronics, lights etc.It is a monster ,weighs less than 10kg and far better than the two previous inverters from India that I used whose idle consumption is killing......
Mind you,it is noiseless while @ work....

Nice review, sir. Kindly share link. Thanks

Good morning all. February 2021 seems to be ending well grin!
I finally convinced a friend to let go of a Pylon brick (part of a left over from a project). Though I took possession day before yesterday, I traveled immediately and just able to upload now.
The package did not come with a battery to inverter cable (just realized the cable no cheap at all o, just like the battery!), so I just dey look at the battery dey salivate! grin grin

Good morning everyone and happy weekend to you.

I notice a recent trend of Axpert based tech or clones having board issues and complete shutdown, while this is sad to the users and a loss of investment

It is important to note that many of these inverters with LVD have always and have being surviving Lead based batteries before now without any issue.

My pick of the whole scenario is that all attested testimony of faulty Axpert variants I noticed here have always being with DIY Lithium based batteries with BMS .

In reality all information to draw a conclusion from what happened with the battery mostly goes down with the inverter when it went bad .... But one thing to note is that

I believe that the BMS does something that indirectly hurts the board or electronic components built-in.

My own solution to the DIY Lithium owners will be to lose some energy storage by increasing their LVD to be above what the BMS will do normally so the battery retains some energy while only your inverter goes offline.

And since it's hybrid ...once the sun comes on the battery gets juiced up.

If you are interested to get this I can get a very sweet deal, don't know how long the offer is open for but only for the 24V variant

What is the price for the growatt?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 10:49am On Feb 27, 2021
To better understand you

1. You have grid power fpr 12 hours daily guaranteed?

2. If you can kindly state those negligible loads you mention so as to know what's best to recommend

3. By Asleep you mean the night time right? Or just random hours in a day-24 hours

A 3KW hybrid will do the job for you and to better rock the boat well ..... With regard to solar harvest .... A Tier 1 panel will be a recommendation but incase budget is tight ... Tier 2 fit pass too

cluewebhost:
I've been going through this thread and I'm confused.

What sort of setup would I need (solar) to power this AC?

I only need it on for 6 hours when I'm asleep

It shows 940W and 4A.

The rest of my load is negligible I use 2 - 2.5Kwh a day for 12 Hours of grid power - Refrigerator, Computers etc.

How many panels would be sufficient?
How many batteries + capacity?
I assume a Hybrid inverter would work but would 3Kw be okay?

Is there anything else I should know?

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by cluewebhost(m): 11:57am On Feb 27, 2021
Thank you!

1. Yes I usually have 12 hours per day and without the AC that consumes 2kwh in 24 hrs

2. A refrigerator (100w I think the stabilizer makes it higher though), Standing fans 2 20w then LED bulbs and laptop (45w) once a while

3. Yes night time only

What brands are tier 1 (these are the confusing issues grin )

Thanks a lot!
I was thinking 3Kw too.

Mind you the price is far cheaper compared to its contemporaries out there.

I vividly remember when you transitioned to Lithium and put your Luminous batteries up for sale. Weldone boss.

I don't think you have to worry about marketers not liking it. They don't own the thread. This is a public thread, you can post it here. We are here to help one another with any useful information. So please post even if is a snapshot of the nameplate here.

The brand's that are Tier 1 are many but I will list a few that are peculiar to Nigeria

Jinko
Canadian
J.A
Trina
Risen

As regards your storage, you will need minimum of around 9.6KWh to run your preferred loads

Problem is 3KW inbuilt charge controller will not fully charge your battery so inclusion of an extra charge controller is needed but with lithium batteries you will need a 5KW inverter hybrid to slap the solar panel on without an problem.

Wonderful thanks!

So

5kw inverter for proper charging (I think it's even better if I need to expand load a bit later)
9.6kwh storage - 4 12v 200ah batteries?
+ good panels.

u actually need 8pcs, with atleast 16pcs of 380w - 450w tier 1 panels wink

Panels : 16 x 70k = 1.12m
Batteries: 8 x 120k = 960k
Inverter: 1 x 250k = 250k

From prices here is that right? Excluding installation.

I'd write a review to the one you brokered for me. I'm impressed by the performance, especially the charging and compatibility with lithium chemistry.

good batteries ranges from 135k to 150k.(full river and amaron quanta) as for panels, u can get original YINGLI 400w mono for less than 60k

since AC is your main concern, u might consider getting the latest Samsung 1HP inverter AC that consume Maximum of 500w, instead of your current one that consume 940W. there by bringing down your solar requirement cost.

Don't have a early victory lap yet I meant usable storage for Lead based so you need like minimum of 8 batteries

Good luck in setting things up, but in case you need a pro-installer.

Kindly shot your message to contact on bio

Cheers

Except you want to get this items yourself, no pro-installer or company will sell these items for you at expected rates ...

And some of the prices above are a bit off, mostly undershot

And since you said money isn't a problem in earlier post .... All you need is just 5 bricks of sweet 2.4KWh pylontech and you have 10.5KWh ...

Which means in 6 - 7 years you will have change your lead based battery 2- 3 times and with ever increasing dollar rate ... The cost of will be like 3-4 times more if you had gone with lead based batteries

Meant to change office equipment this year so would look at the Samsung (was planning gencool/genpals earlier)

Would dm you.

Curious to see what the "tier 1" generation log looks like. I have both prime(yingli cousin) 380x7 and sunfit 280x9 with orientation a little bit more on the side of prime yet both are doing 3x easily. They do burst to 4x occasionally on sunny days.

i just rechecked and the Samsung i suggested earlier is not even meant for African/Nigerian market, so just buy the latest LG gencool, it is also very energy ⚡ efficient. cheers.

By these, do you mean doing x3 the capacity? Like 200W doing 600 or 800w?
