People of God please help!!!!
WES sent me a notice that they sent photocopies of my docs to my institution for verification in March but my school confirmed to me that they have not received anything from WES. The woman in charge at the registrars office even opened the email inbox and spam folder of address that they use to receive the docs from WES, we found nothing in my name. Disturbed about that info, I sent several emails to WES asking them to resend to my schoo(even stated the right email address), they confirmed to me yesterday that have sent the photocopies to my school again, but to my surprise my school confirmed to me this morning that they have not received anything yet again. Who has an idea of what is going on pls? I don't even know how to proceed from here. I paid for the course by course evaluation. Is it possible that WES did not send the photocopies of my docs through email? Someone help me pls

@simonwales and other gurus after initial rejection, kindly advise the type of ammendments or changes you can make that will be convincing enough especially denial under section 214 (b). I was denied two weeks ago but I'm going for another interview tomorrow with same details as I have nothing to change but if asked if anything has changed, my proposed response is 'yes, after personal review of the last interview i feel the responses i gave as my intentions were not clear enough to the VO but i hope to be more precise this time' please does this make sense or what better ways can this question be tackled?

Temple Uni seems to have its charms with the US embassy VOs; everyone I know since 2008 that applied to the school got their visas. Congrat!!! grin grin

Visa approved July 17th(to God be the glory)

17th July happened to be my birthday!!!

First timer at US embassy and silent reader.

God bless everyone for your help and insight ,may God enrich you greatly

A guy before me was denied , he sounded so rehearsed and he was shaky even in his tone

Fast forward..

I got interviewed by a young pretty lady windows 8

VO; Goodmorning

Me: Goodmorning

VO: how are you?(with a pleasant smile)

Me: I am great you?(smiling) And vo replied.

VO: please pass me your i20 and passport

Me: here please

VO: why are you going to the US

ME: I am going for my studies

VO: course?

Me: Masters In business administration and management

VO; why this school?

VO: did you write any test?

Me; no please, the school informed me when I come over I can write the test before the end of the first semester(cos of my course,it's allowed)

ME: they are one of the best public universities in the state of Texas, their MBA is certified by the body AACSB and their MBA has a minor concentration in MIS(management Informations Systems)

VO;how many schools did you apply to

Me: three schools and I listed them

(all this while she kept smiling and looking at me as I responded and I looked calm, relaxed and spoke calmly even when my heart was racing)

VO: when did you graduate

Me: 2013

VO:what iv you been doing since then

Me: I completed the compulsory NYSC programme then got a job in **** bank as a customer service personnel....(VO cuts in)

VO:Have you travelled out before

Me: yes please, I travelled to Dubai for vacation 2014

VO: Why did you choose to study MBA?

Me: The knowledge and skill I will obtain, I will apply it to my career goal in the banking industry in Nigeria

VO; she pauses, looks at me while my eye balls were fixed on her. She was quiet for a while and asked me, why are you perculiar about MIS.

That put me off cos I didn't expect it(my luck was my job role, we work hand in hand with MIS team and I genuinely have interest in MIS)

Me: I have interest in MIS because business has gone beyond buying and selling and recording sales, we can now use computers to support and make managerial decisions.

VO: smiles and says I will be approving your visa

Me: smiling and didn't hear anything afterwards(that thing is true oooo, you won't hear anything again)

Slight tips:

Be as calm as possible, it's not easy but imagine you are speaking to your sibling and dress very well and smartly, look the part. I might sound like I'm over exaggerating the VO kept starring at my outfit, weavon, and my wristwatch(not bragging) just look the part

Pray to God aggressively and fast very necessary. It can only be God oooo!!!

VO did not ask for single document

THANKS ONCE AGAIN

Congratulations! That's good news. I particularly like your tips on dressing. I think it is important to look the part as well. No need to go in a 3-piece suit and all, but look smart and sharp at least.

All the best in your studies!

Hi all,

Please I would like to fill in a new DS 160 form. Like I mentioned in my previous posts, I was turned back for having mismatched DS 160 confirmation codes. I called the embassy today and was told that my information had finally updated and I could use the old DS160 confirmation code. However I am not comfortable and want to do a new DS 160.

Please will this cause any issues?

Thank you!

Ignore all those hustler trying to stample my documents. Enter the embassy and did all clarification. Can really remember the window number but was interviewed by that White man with bears. Vo: have i interviewed you before. Me: no sir. Vo: how many schools did you applied to? Me: four. VO : why cwu. Me: I choose cwu because i was awarded an academic merit scholarship which makes the tuition fee very affordable for my parents. Furthermore i also ( VO cut in) what qualify for this scholarship. Me: my excellent grades from highschool transcript and also my tests scores. Vo: who is sponsoring you. Me: my dad. Before know I will be approving your bla bla bla and gave me the special paper. It's all God. Never give up. Imagine it's my 3rd attempt but God did it

I feel you mis-understood passport renewal for visa renewal.. but i will let the gurus throw more lights on your question
hah! I couldn't have mis-understood it na. Passport has never been 10 years na.
Just wanted clarity on how many years renewal is, and I think our fellows here have made it clear that it is 2yrs.
So I rest my case except there are other counter inputs or contributions.
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 12 by kayuscares4u(m): 4:38pm On Aug 01, 2017
For me, I'll outline 3 flaws in my opinion.

1. When the VO asked about you if you wrote any exam and you said no. She asked why and you said it was waived. Sir, that wasn't a good enough answer. You could have done better on that. Your responds made you look lazy. Always try to go beyond limit to defend your answers and give precise explanation. Let the VO cut in while you are explaining. They wanna know if you are sure about what you talking about and you showing confidence in explaining gives them what they want. Don't do word for word with them. It's a total NO NO!

2. Secondly, your wife's job isn't a strong tie to keep her in Nigeria or bother you to send money back home while in school. You need to watch out for that.

3. Your father a retired lecturer and now he's into haulage of petroleum products and have a gas station? Guy come, talk true for there na. Even me nor believe you. It's possible, but doesn't really tally. It's hard to believe. You could have as well just say 'he's into haulage of petroleum products and own a gas staion' leaving out the lecturer

Thanks so much bro, i really appreciation ur contribute.

Hello house, great work you guys are doing. Please I'm new here and I would like to ask some questions.
1) I'm a graduate of English studies, what cheap uni can I look at and what's the price like? Are there work opportunities while schooling?
2) I will love to do a master programme in media. How realistic is it being that I'm coming from the English line?
3) lastly, I'll love if I can get someone to put me through this. I'm just looking at where to do master. Thanks in advance

The first thing to do is to plan, prepare to write GRE and TOEFL, the entire process is on this thread. check well. There are many schools in Texas and other sates that give scholarship for their mass communication Masters. Goodluck!!

Post your visa transcript and let others learn.
Contact your new school and tell them you wanna transfer, some would send you a form to take to your DSO to fill before the transfer can be done. Talk to the DSO of your current school about transferring.
