I'm not saying that people didn't actually collected money, who doesn't like money? People would collect money from party A and vote for party B, while some people would fairly vote for the party that gives them money. Money and Nigeria voting is like 5 and 6.
Having said that, I'm happy to tell you that money didn't play any meaningful role in this election. In fact, if you are from Osun State, you would have known who was going to win immediately after APC leaders' (most especially gov Aregbesola) show of shame during the party primary which made PDP gave its ticket to Adeleke.
That was a revolt vote. That you can't say Electorates feelings doesn't matter.

The failure of APC in Osun State has more to do with Failure of Buhari than that of Aregberascal.

For the idiots who don't know what is happening in Osun state. This was not really a party supremacy battle, it was a battle based on personalities, and the Adelekes won. If Adeleke was the APC candidate, he still would have won but probably with a wider margin.

I just dey laff at some people's comments here. It was a victory that was certain, given the bad politics played by Aregbesola and his gang during the primary. It was more of Aregbesola vs Adeleke's election. Aregbesola is trying to extend Tinubu's policy of installing candidates in Osun. That will most likely be his downfall, not his performance. People are clamouring for locally bred politicians, not lag-imported ones. The sooner he understands that, the better for his legacy.

The state governor is the main culprit, paying civil servants half salary for the past two years. Ogbeni is a joker.

Adeleke won the bye election due to the sympathy the voters had on him as a result of his late brother's death.Also,the legacies of his late brother also eased his victory.

PDP won cuz APC is currently messing up
There is little or no difference between the 2 parties, only a matter of "the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know"

It is not about APC or PDP.

People had grudge to settle with Emperor Aregbe ,who has been deceiving people with his propaganda. The chicken only came home to roost for him. He believed he is popular with riff raffs and people that can not distinguish between left from right, He underestimated the influence and voting power of the Civil Servants.

Even some of OUR party members sabotaged the election for PDP. Apart from that, they were heady and stubborn enough to pick the APC candidate from a LG that has a sitting Speaker of House of Assembly and a Rep at HOR, at the expense of other LGs, which are by no mean small LGs -- Iwo, Ede, Ikire etc.
