Benue Community People don ban say make nobody spend pass 100k on traditional marriage

The Traditional Ruler of Otukpa, The Headquarters of Ogbadibo LGA, Wey be Chief Sir, Sunday Ekele JP don ban men for the community say make nobody spend pass 100k ontop traditional wedding.

Chief Ekele talk say the decision dey important base on complaints wey young men for the community dey give say Bride Price dey too big and e dey discourage dem make dem no reason to marry.

As him dey follow radio people dey yan on Thursday for Otukpo, The chief talk say any person wey no obey this law dem go penalize am.

“Make money no stop anybody wey wan marry for this our community, From now, make nobody spend pass 100k before him fit get wife for our community, We need to dey ginger our Young men , make dem no fear to marry”

Remember say the chairman, Tiv Area Traditional Council wey be Him Royal Majesty, Tor Tiv Ochirvirigh, Prof.James Ayatse  don arrange 15 member committee wey go look into bride price matter and other expensive things for marriage for Tiv land.

The committee , wey get only three months to report back, Na Chief Jam Gbinde Ter Ikyor dey head am, and dem direct am to figure out wetin be the reason why bride price dey high and suggest how dem go use address the issue.
