Ethiopia airline should do it. I once flew Rwanda air about 3 yrs back. Was the most uncomfortable flight I've been in with no where to hang ur leg, small chairs and worst of all the screen . You have 1 screen to 3 people not the usual of you having your own screen and we all have to watch same thing meaning you can't watch movies of your choice or anything u like . I had to go to their office in Dubai to ask if I could get a refund for my return ticket but it wasn't feasible. To worsen the whole journey ,the officials at their airport seized all drinks I bought in Dubai duty free (about 4 bottles of Jack Daniels) as well as other peoples food items etc said they won't allow anybody board with food or drinks. The stupid official even told me its either I drink my whisky or leave it so I had to ask him is that how you drink whisky? To cut the story short, I had to almost finish my bottle of Jack Daniels before entering the flight.

It is your responsibility as a traveller to check if the airline you intend to travel with has any specific rules especially as regards items that are not allowed unto the plane as carry on luggage.

Travelled from Abuja to Addis with the Ethiopian.their airbus was superb.the aircraft is new with all the modern gadget but the Boein from Addis to New Delhi wasnt that fantastic but rugged for the long haul accros the ocean.they pride themselves as a member of star alliance.i reccommend ET for air travellers .they are great

It is far from that . The Rwandans were very hostile and I suspect because some Nigerians have engaged in using their routes for drug smuggling. They even brought in sniffer dogs when we were all seated with our luggage in the transit hall . All in all, I am not impressed by that country with their small airport that has little or no activities. Looks like an Islamic state.

Cheap flights indeed. I actually flew them because I didn't book ahead since I had urgent business to do and the other better airlines were pretty expensive .Lesson learned, book flight ahead .

My case was cos of the cost.
Very unimportant trip so I really needed the cheapest possible flight
The flight from Nigeria to Kigali was crappy while the other route was great

Royal Air Maroc, Ethiopian Airlines, Egypt Air

Are these airlines safe? Any experiences?
Of the three airlines mentioned Ethiopian is the best and number one in Africa. I've flown Ethiopian so many times to the far east and Europe and they were simply fantastic. Ever smiling crew, top of the range aircrafts, good food and wines, world class in flight entertainment systems, good leg room, short connecting times at Addis and pocket friendly fares. I flew Royal Air Maroc last June to Manchester. It was not that bad but can't be compared to Ethiopian. Though a little bit cheaper than Ethiopian. I've not tried Air Egypt.

Very big direspect.
They made Nigerians look like criminals especially when transiting through Caira.

I have done some travel with Ethiopian and Kenyan airlines. Loved them. Although, I felt the hostesses on my Kenyan airline flight was so unprofessional angry

Never used any of the above. Only South African airways. Really good and professional. Star alliance member, so good aircrafts. Few box office movies, but really good old movies. Lovely hostesses - gave my baby a bag pack with crayons and a paint book. kiss
Travelled with them last month to South Africa and Mauritius. SAA is bae.

I have flown Kenya airways to SA in africa and their service is good...South african wine and ok meal but the plane from MMIA to JKIA is like Molue...Lets just carry all of them drop at Nairobi..Old airplanes but from JKIA to OR Tambo then they bring in a clean spacious airliner with usb port for charging, nice leg room and all,the same for the return journey, nice plane from or tambo and molue back to lagos.

I bought enough shayo at duty free and took them all inside but the hostess told me to keep it as it not allowed but i kept on drinking with a buddy i met there..she later brought about 6 small bottles of red wine which i take deh wash mouth for lagos traffic.

Kenya airways to Gambia also has decent clean aircraft with nice hostesses...i prefer Kenya anyway.

I no fit do rwanda lai...southy airline i heard is better...

Flew Kenya Air to Dubai in februrary. Nice flight & crew. You get 3 pieces of baggage i.e hand luggage & two 24kg luggages. So for luggage I give it to Kenya Airways. You can even over pack your hand luggage. But for food you garra eat well b4 you board cos their inflight food is average.

Another thing is the connecting flight from Nairobi to your final destination is always better by far than the flight from lagos to Nairobi (No personalised inflight entertainment from lagos to Nairobi).

Rwandair, mmmh, very stingy with baggage allowance. Your hand luggage must not exceed 10kg by a gramme. I flew Rwandair on the 7th of this month to Kenya & i had my hand luggage at 12kg which was my only luggage, and they had issues with it at check-in but finally allowed it since that was my only luggage. The food was far better than Kenya Air. No personalised inflight entertainment.

Kigali and Nairobi airports are great.

Kenya Airways have always been awesome each time I travelled with them, great choice btw beef n vege meals. Endless bottles of Tusker juice or red wine. Never for once thought of switching not even if Nigeria airways comes back but I plan visiting more African countries by transit sorry Kenya but am definitely flying Ethiopia on my next flight judging from the comments.

Ethiopia airline kill it all... Good hotel in transit, nice food on board, if you are a drunkard they are ready to give you those wines as much as you want on board.. best Africa airline to me so far...

Ethiopia Airline is currently building a new Airport and Hotel adjacent to current airport. When the new Airport is completed, it will be one of the largest Airport in the world.

Ethiopian Airways is the best... Egypt Airways is also good, Royal Air Maroc is simply the worst of all they are uncoordinated, the plane cabin has this creaking sound when on motion.... The flight attendant are rude, my first and only experience with Royal Air Maroc was when I took a flight enroute Paris from Casablanca.
That Casablanca airport is so local... Long runway though... My best touch down ever was at that airport. So smooth. I was like WOW!!! Was even tempted to clap for the Captain.. Don't ask me if I did. Lol

Air Coted'ivoire is one of the best in Africa. Their customer service/flight is superb. We were lodged in an expensive hotel in Abidjan for 2days due to flight delay.
But when are we going to have 'Nigerian Airways' again?
