As a young boy I used to be a huge fan of the
WWF fights that were
frequently shown on television. Then, I and my
younger siblings would
sometimes compel our dad to buy wrestling
cassettes for us that we always
watched on our return from school. Among all
the wrestlers on display, Hulk
Hogan was my favorite. One thing amongst
others that attracted me to him
was his unwillingness to quit despite his age.
The most cheering part of
his fights were those moments when his
opponents would beat him with all
sorts of tools and leave him on the floor of the
ring to get tired and give
up. That moment, the live crowd and the
television viewers would have
thought it was over for him, he’d slowly get up
from the floor, hold onto
the ring and begin to shake. After shaking for a
while, he ‘d lift up his
finger and give the “never” sign. After giving the
“never” sign, one can
always predict that the fight was over. At that
moment his opponent would
lose their confidence and zeal to fight because
every of their punches and
tactics will no longer have effects on him.
Watching those fights taught me a lot of lessons
that I believe will help
to charge you up.

Your enemies may have beaten you to the extent of
you thinking of quitting,
you may be going through tough times where it
seems every of your actions
takes you backward to start all over again, you
may be in that situation
where you’ve been left to nurse your wounds
alone with no help from the
north, east, west or south, or you may be in a
relationship where you’ve
been made to always feel inferior, lonely and
heartbroken. But hear this!
The enemies of life has never been known to
withdraw from people easily,
they will only stop hitting you when you develop
a hard skin to their
strokes and give them the “never again” sign.
I’ve gone through tough times and I've
discovered that the more I cried the
more the pains, the more I wallowed in self pity
the harder the strokes,
the more I allowed people to see the effects of
their harsh words on me the
more harsh words they spoke. And I’ve grown,
I’ve developed thick skin to
the hardship of life and like Hulk Hogan, I’ve told
my enemies NEVER AGAIN!
Never again will I be broke. Never again will I be
oppressed. Never again
will I feel inferior. Never again will I allow anyone
to steal my peace,
joy, hope and happiness. Never again will I allow
anyone to have the final
say in my life contrary to what God has said
concerning me. Never again
will I allow anyone play with my heart. Never
again will I sleep without
food. NEVER AGAIN!

I don’t know about you but as for me never
again! I may not know what
you’re going through but you need to get up from
the floor, hold onto the
ring and give that enemy of your success the
never again sign. When you
develop the never again mindset, all the punches
of your enemies will be as
if they are hitting you with grain of rice. Please
note that, developing
the never again mindset will stop your enemies
from hitting when they
realize that their strokes are no longer having
effects on you.
