Biafran cannot push for insertion of referendum into a false document. A document that started with a brazen lie " we the people.." .Even the common attempt by greedy eastern politician to push for the SEDC into that false document was thwarted at the same National Assembly where you want them to push for referendum. So who is fooling who?

A bill for the creation of a South East Development Commission (SEDC) recently met with conflicting reactions in the two chambers of the National Assembly.

In the House of Representatives where it was first introduced, the bill failed to make it to the crucial Second Reading as members voted to throw it out, after its introduction on the floor by the sponsor Chukwuka Onyema. The House stopped the bill’s progress on several grounds including its unintended coincidence with the fresh wave of agitation by some Biafra irredentists clamouring for secession of the same South East geo-political zone from the Nigerian federation. Some members also called for further consultation by its sponsors.

In the Senate however the same bill sponsored by Senator Samuel Anyanwu found favour as it was passed without much debate for Second Reading following an appeal by the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu for ‘fairness and justice.’ The bill’s success in the Senate attracted cheers from the South East Caucus which applauded Senators for the gesture. The Senate move opened the way for the bill to proceed to the next stage of public hearing where stake holders are expected to make inputs. With those stringent bail conditions he was able to meet all he should be doing now is making peaceful consultations and laying strategies. This was the same way the people of the Southeast swallowed everything Ojukwu told them, hook, line and sinker in 1966 - 67, without bothering to question his line of reasoning. They even agreed to fight anything & everyone, once Ojukwu gave them weapons. And the man ended up leading them into an avoidable war.

He also defended hem exceedingly well, by hopping into a plane on the Uli airstrip and taking off for Ivory Coast, after abandoning them to their fate, on the battle field. May God bless the late Lt. Gen Philip Effiong who did not run away, but stood up to be counted by taking the bold step that put an end to the carnage. That is what true heroes are made of.

If Nigeria society is even half civilized as some goons want to believe, this issue of cession should not be a thing public discussion. Many ninnies in Africa even realized that USSR and Czechoslovakia disintegrated? Must Ndigbo, Yari.ba, Hausawa, Fulde, Nupe, Munchi, Usobo, etc live together to form a country? Disrupting daily activities of people is not the solution, so many people suffered in Owerri today due to his unannounced visit, today is Friday and its expected to be an increase in traffic movement, unfortunately this man and his miscreants decides to make things difficult for commuters . I can tell you most of his followers from what I closely observed were street urchins, why are the elites, politicians and civil servants not coming out for the march? Everyone is trying to protect their meal tickets. So many people also has taken advantage of the whole thing and are generating revenue for themselves by selling souvenirs.
