There's nothing wrong with a lady picking up the tab. Ethically, the person who invites the other out should pay. But, depending on how they both indulged themselves (some people abuse an invite by ordering too much), the invitee can offer to split the bill. If you invite someone out, it would be ridiculous to expect them to pay.

However, some guys consider it a ballbuster when a lady pays. And if they were planning on toasting the girl, this show of independence sometimes feels like a line being drawn on the floor: do not cross!
