Landlords should be encouraged to re-paint their houses. Many of those 4/5 story's built in the 80's around Nkpor, Obosi needs retouching. A government led campaign on re-painting of those houses will add so much to the beautification of the Onitsha axis

1000likes for this my brother...what we need in Anambra state as a whole is beautification. Just take another look at those pixs and imagine that all the buildings are looking new...with tress planted in front of the houses.
Seriously we need to change please in Anambra State. Who is the commissioner of environment in Anambra state...we need to ask him/she questions about this great state.

Anambra state needs to fast track their development cos I was disappointed I all that I hear and saw, the population is seriously growing via nsugbe, nkwelle and 3-3 axis, new buildings are coming up yet there is no Good road. People over there are living on God's will.

Roads at fegge are falling off and since last 12 years only few have been rebuilt or built by government,
New layouts like Odume(Obosi) and some other ones at Nsugbe and Nkwelle don't even have a single tarred road even the entrance, roads in Omagba are in bad condition, I like what peter obi did at odekpe,
But in total, Onitsha and environs need a total rehabilitation.

Even the roads that leads to main market(okwei & kano). The road was started by peter obi but was abandoned by obiano. Even bicycle can't pass that road due to it sorry state, and the road is a very strategic one.


Obiano is trying but he should buckle up cos other states don dey leave us waka oh

Now this is what I love, it is called constructive criticism(well meant critique intended to help someone improve). It is actually needed if their is to be any meaningful development in both Anambra state and Igbo land in General. Tabletman1 and oneease2 keep it up.

IDC is a mixture of foreign and local blend. They are equally good..

Chino, what people are saying is that the company IDC, lacks good aesthetics. Have had from close to 5 persons here who disapprove of IDC. Please tell them to improve on their works or a better company should be given the job.

Also please be careful around that refinery because of the security situation in that area. Those yams in your pix are very big ooo, I don't mind having some sha .

I'm not in Anambra, I have gone back, those around should update us, although Anambra is a busy state I hope they will find out time to do the work? Because there are so many projects and places to cover.

For me personally I have listened to his speech and I know that Anambra have gotten it right this time. Just imagine that coched farm project that he commissioned on may 7, I was surprised that I saw it on hot nigeria jobs. They were recruiting for farm Engineers for their farm in Anaku around june. The last 2 MOU that he signed with some multinational companies recently shows that he is focused and have a strong vision for anambra state.
I am just happy for IGBO's and Ndi Anambra in general because the future is so bright for us,when we have a leader that have vision. My only fear is that some evil forces/people that will not want him to achieve his aim for us,that is why we need to pray for him. Just look at some of our governors/presidents with good intention but they just cannot do what they have in mind cos of fear. I am Proudly ANAMBRA STATE......

God bless you Chima, I just love that 2nd pixs. This is what we need. In Anambra state, development is spread across every part of the state,but things are not organized. Look at Awada, Obosi and Nkpor, you will notice that their buildings are well planned,but they lack good roads (I mean street roads),with trees to beautify the place.
Our buildings are well planned in Onitsha,Awka and Nnewi,but we still lack that thing that makes a city beautiful/nice. Just imagine that ur entering Onitsha from Asaba and their is this beautiful water fountain and tress everywhere (it will be mind blowing).
So far in Agriculture, I will give obaino 60%,while I will keep my other score

What people want is everyday pictures and happening in anambra so d masses can use it to analyze and constructively critise.
As u pass tru a street, snap and upload, whether good or bad, u see something what sharing, snap and upload, whether good or bad.

Not all d paid news whatever of d govt.

Things we need to make our state better etc. That is d type of thread we want to debate on.
Educative and inspiring thread.
Im sure some of us r tired of this everyday govt praise here and there.

If nigerians can come together and critisize d govt constructively and hold them accountable for every dime that enters d govt pocket, i tell u, nigeriaa would hv become american wonder by now.
But bc they know how gulliable most of us r, thats why they plant poeple here and there to consistently sing their praises.

Nothing constructive comes out of their mouth except praise and pull him down syndrome.

Listen my brother, nobody is singing praises of anybody. The questions I asked above shows just that! you can respond even by criticizing the government(it is normal and will bring more development).
One thing I do not like about my state and will love to see, is in terms of BEAUTIFICATION of streets, roads,round about and planting of trees and so many things. Listen what anambra just need now(because we have roads) is to change it's view from normal buying and selling to a place were investors/tourists can come and relax(no insult intended, let's just stick 2 the topic! That is how I see it). I want him to sign a contract with a foreign firm for the beautification of anambra(not just all this local workers),also the firm will be responsible for training our own workers on this..
The 2nd question above, I feel that the governor need to call a meeting with the great men of not just anambra, but IGBO's in general. Tell them his plans and how he need their help to achieve them. Also he need to find out from them their challenges and how government can be of help. Nuff said .

I want to ask 2 questions to my IGBO peeps(not only the people of Anambra State). Just imagine ur willie obaino (the present governor), who have tried so far (just 6months in office).
•What will be the next thing will be do? having in mind that he(Obaino) have tried in the area of Agriculture.
•Also how will you be able to utilize the huge potential in HUMAN RESOURCES that Anambra State/IGBO's in general have? to bring about the needed change in South east Nigeria.

Anambra State is now a huge construction site. Just loving my governor and all his developmental strives.

I love the serenity of the place. Anambra state holds great tourism potential that need to be utilized.

Let me borrow the words of my able governor "we have repositioned security in Anambra State, this is an opportunity for investors to come here and invest". You see! Only a wise leader/governor, knows what to do in order for him to develop his state/region.

I will say it any day, that security is the key to any meaningful development. I remember vividly early this year(january), when I went to onitsha from ogwashi-uku to get some things. Was shocked when some one just walked up to a lady and snatched her Belongings around upper iweka. The most painful thing is that he did not even run, he just crossed the other lane and was walking majestically. I heard that obaino have chased them out of there and I am so happy about it.
Now what I am waiting to hear is that he have awarded contract for the beautification of the whole state, starting from Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi. I mean planting of flowers,trees and also inter-street roads in Awada and Obosi and environs. I know if this man continue like this Anambra will be great

Yes IDC! They're really doing great. They are building the three flyovers in Aroma juction, Knwata juction , Amaobia juction and also expanding the road with drainage channels.

Thanks for the reply, this man (willie obiano) is really trying. Heard that he is also planning to build 3 standard markets in awka, umunze and I have forgotten the other place. My uncle have land in umunze (cos that is were my mom hails from), and told he told me that land in that area is now very expensive. My brother we have a governor with a large heart, don't know if you can remember the coched farms project (him and Coscharis).

My brother even me I am confused, was not expecting that from him(OdenigboAroli). someone have successfully pitched igbos against themselves. When the first anambra thread was derailed, I thought faun was from Enugu and because of that stopped veiwing the Enugu thread(a thread that I love so much and use to follow it from page 1 up to 200). Now I understand that someone knows that Chino cannot be controlled(meaning unlike spyder that can ignore a stupid post) and is now using him to cause problem between IGBOs.
Another problem is that the mods are not helping to solve the problem. And we are just embarrassing our selves. Most of those people causing this problem are not IGBOs( check their post)$

For me, I am personally happy for any news that have to do with IGBO's in Generally and will love us to grow. I am happy that we have advanced more than some part of Nigeria that the civil war did not even affect in any way.
I still want to say that anambra need a major overhaul(so that it can attract tourist/visitors), we need a dual carriage way in our major roads in Nnewi,Onitsha and Awka, also need to focus on either one or two hotels/malls ( complete them before going to others). I love anambra my place of birth, but I love IGBO(all eastern states and parts of delta,rivers) more). Please let us focus on constructive criticism and not how to bring down ourselves. Please Op, the pix you showed about JEHUL, I want to know how big is the company and how many people it employs. Also do you also know that COCHED farms..... just finished recruiting around July for their farm in ANAKU. Chuksphil2go the poster issue is very complicated my brother, because even in Abuja where I stayed around April/may this year (after my service), you will notice that posters are everywhere and it is very bad. The poster issue is really very bad and our Government need to do something not only in anambra, but everywhere.
