Am back, have missed this thread. Where is Tabletman1 and Buddahmonk?. @ Schematics Obiano is a blessing to Anambra State. Expect more good news from him as we enter a new and bright year for Anambra State. |
kettykin:I did not want to comment on this thread before I saw ur post. This is the best post I have seen so far from someone that have his people in mind. Sorry to say this, but we do not have leaders in the east. Right from when the colonial masters were around, leaders in every region (east, west & north) try to see what they can get for their people. I am sure that even APC knowns that south east nigeria is for GEJ,but what can we boost of from following GEJ. Pls I don't want somebody to come and tell me ENUGU Airport or 2nd Niger bridge that will be tolled when it is completed but Lagos/Ibadan road and Abj/Lokoja road which cost more than 2nd niger bridge will not be tolled. Our leaders have failed us,look at how the immigration woman was removed even when we all know that northerners and westerners heading government agencies do worst things. We have failed to utilize our new found superior electoral votes and instead have wasted 4years of having a president that is close to south east. Look at how the onitsha port was abandoned,Geometric power plant that can change the face of industrialization in the east being frustrated, Onitsha - Enugu road nothing 4 close to 4years now and so many things too numerous to mention. Those things listed above have the capacity to change South East Nigeria forever, but we do not have the leaders to achieve it 4nw and this is the only opportunity that we have. Also pls let us stop comparing which state is more superior in the east, cos when gowon was bombing the east during the civil war he did not do it based on which state is more superior. The civil war would have served as a bond to hold us together in unity regardless of our political differences. Lastly I am not blaming Gej for anything but our leaders have all failed us. Nuff said already, thank you my brothers. |
FKO81:If only we can develop our tourism sector, it will be a good source of IGR. Also I love Rojenny tourist Village oba, a great place to be. |
FKO81:Thank you my brother FK081,this thread was not created for comparing one state with another. Instead it was meant to show the world what Anambra State look like and to help change the perception of people about the state. Please let's focus on the topic at hand and ignore comments that is not worth replying. |
Cuche:Yes!we need to appraise what they have done so far. The problem we have is that people concentrate on those @ the center like presidents & governors and forget that we have local government chairmen. Let us look at what they have done, starting from the local government that generate more income. |
The man just want to change the look of things in his state. It is not a bad ideal, cos it is obtainable in developed countries. I really do not see anything wrong with what he did and hope to see more of this changes in my dear state. The problem we have is our mentality and the way we think, so now everything should be Hilux, why not SUV cars for the police. Please think big and stop all this comments. |
Wow!This thread is getting more interesting by the day. That obiano cap is very funny. I want to say I big thank u to every1 for keeping this thread alive. |
Yeske2:Hahahahahaah, your post got be laughing , investnow played a fast one @ you. But really me I can not believe what I am seeing until I come back home my self. |

@ Investnow2013. Nothing stops our government from investing in full scale beautification like this. I am particularly happy with the way things are going now and wish we can improves. Happy to hear that obiano have ordered every house along the road in awka to repaint their houses and I hope it can be extended to Onitsha and Nnewi. |
Yeske2:Thank again yeske2 for the pix, look at how neat the road is. Me I just love my able governor. In the spirit of xmas, even when u don't want to celebrate it,u will be forced to by only seeing those xmas trees. |
investnow2013:Wow, that is a beautiful building fit for great men. |
Yeske2:This is what we want for our dear state. I can still remember when we slept @ DMGS during the Nov 16 elections in Anambra State and how the place was then . Every day we keep hearing good news from Anambra State. |
BuddahMonk:I think our able governor (willie obiano) is in a hurry to develop Anambra State for good. Buddah Nwanne , missed all your posts, where have u being? |
tabletman1:We need to stop people from parking cars in this kind of narrow lane,so that they can be enough space. |
Schematics:Wow so it have gotten to that extent, am so impressed. |
OreMI22:My brother pls forget chino, this thread will stand no matter what. I have missed all ur pictures and maps, pls let us (good ppl of Anambra with good intention) continue pls thank u sir. |
Schematics:Nice 1 from sir Emeka Offor,we want more of this from our big men. |
Schematics:Nice 1 from sir Emeka Offor. |
GeneralObasanjo:Ignored. |
OkijaAmaka:@ OkijaAmaka pls stop begging him! Let him post those pictures. See it takes two people and more to derail a thread, meaning that when he is being ignored, how then can he derail the thread. My only problem now is chino, seriously something is wrong with that man,he is the only1 that will keep replying him. @ Chino You are the reason why the former Anambra Thread died quietly and you have also chased Arch4u out of this thread cos he is from ebonyi state. Why are u like this, maybe you are a curse instead of a blessing to Anambra State. Constructive criticism is allowed in this thread and pls allow people to say their minds without you attacking them. |
Ilovenigeria:We need to ask this people serious questions cos we are the once paying them. I stayed with my cousin brother for a while @ Awada and I found out that the place is well planned, it only lack good road and ornamental tress and flowers. If residential areas like Awada, obosi, Nkpor etc have good/marked inter-Street roads and beautiful ornamental trees and flowers!then we would be more happy with the way things are going. Please do any1 have information about the refinery project. Some one have earlier promised us pictures of the project in this thread. |
Innovator90:I just like the way obiano is handling the affairs of Anambra State. Just imagine a man that have a target of $1.9billion in 1yr and have so far achieved $1.4billion in 8months,seriously I think he need our prayers. I remember what people(IGBO's)use to say then in Kano(kufar ruwa market):that he his 1st car was stolen by criminals @ upper iweka and he vow to deal with them whenever he have the opportunity(like I said it is just normal beer parlor gist ).We need to ask the commissioners what they are doing on their own. They should not just allow the governor to do everything for them. It is not until the governor signs a contract with a foreign firm to beautiful Anambra before the commissioner for Environment will know that he (uba) can put our waste management officials to proper use. |
@ Schematics and OreMI22 Both of you are the reason why this thread have gotten to this extent and should not fight over this for the sake of the thread. OreMI22 view is objective from an Engineers point of view, while Schematics is also saying the same thing from a different perspective. I like your posts (Schematics & OreMI22) but I wish it should be devoid of Insults. One thing I like about obaino, is his desire for higher quality and taste in any project that he is embarking upon. The previous coy handling both the international market and the onitsha mall projects have being replaced and I think it is because of quality and standard that is attached to the project. Lastly, no one should be criticized for saying his or her mind. We are all here to make our state better by our contributions. |
asha80:Yes it is the same plan that peter obi have about that international market. I think obiano just changed the firm handling the project. Seriously continuation in government is the best, unlike some other states where you will see abandoned projects throughout the state. My prayer is that all this mou will be fully achieved. The confidence that I have is that the first mou with coscharis for coched farms in anaku have being achieved because I heard they were recruiting(on hot nigeria jobs 19 june 2014). They may have started work on their site, with a target of achieving 12000 paddy rice every year. God bless Anambra and IGBO land in General. |
Myluv1:My brother I am so happy with this post, this is what we need in Anambra State. Why I am this happy is because he (willie Obiano) is focused on my field. I studied Agric/Engineering and you know that if this Agro-Industries is sustained then we can boost of a Mechanized Farm in Anambra State(Not many states in Nigeria can boost of a mechanized farm). Seriously this man is trying his best In every sector. That is why I am calling on the commissioner for Environment to put more effort on beautification. I know that they are trying of recent, but they can do more. |
VAQAXY:See every1 here is complaining about IDC, I also dislike the works they do and wish better construction coys will be given those jobs in Anambra State. It is a known fact that IDC gets 70% of all the construction works in Anambra State. Even the three flyovers @ Awka that was recently awarded was also given to them. My major problem with IDC is their poor finishing. Take a look at the pix of Inter-Bau and compare it with that of IDC,you will see a big difference. |
RareDiamonds:This is good news because we need to be sufficient in Agriculture. We need to be able to produce what we eat. We in the south-east need to develop our Agricultural potentials. |
9inches:If he has a blueprint to run with, then I will say it is better, but how sure are you that the next government will continue from where he stopped. The Onitsha hotel and convention centre looks ok in terms of structure, but the surroundings looks very poor and I hope it will have enough space. While that of Agulu Lake resort have good space for landscaping. This is the same reason I am advocating for the need to handle one project at a time, have it done with high taste, then you can proceed to the need project. I seriously hope that we have the funds to complete all the projects are the same time. |
@ MyTime3 Please don't be deceived by what you see and hear on Nairaland. Nairaland is a place where Hate is being Cultivated,Harvested and Processed. Here on Nairaland I learned how to hate my fellow brothers/sisters both Hausa, Igbo and Yorubar. People like Chino & Vanbonattel are the reason why Nairaland is filled with hate. I am from Anambra, but I love Imo and Every part of Igbo land and Nigeria. Please don't allow Nairaland to corrupt your mind here and make you to hate your fellow brothers. I want us(the people of both Anambra and Imo) to ignore them (Chino & Vanbonattel) please press Ignore and forget them. @ Rear Daimond I love that your last pix, it looks very nice. Is that new Owerri? |
What is happening Here! A thread that was flourishing, where every can air his or her views. Why I love this thread,is because we don't just saw beautiful places, but also discuss on how Anambra can move forward. @ Chino Please I beg you to stop all this things you are doing. You stated it all by insulting Achi4u(even when he have done nothing wrong). If you can not talk with your fellow Igbo brothers with respect, then I advice that you leave this thread. @ Buddahmonk Please don't respond to Vanbonattel cos he is not Igbo. Go to Imo thread and see how he is posting stupid pictures there. I think even Chino knows this and is helping him to derail both this & Imo thread. About the Question that you raised about Onitsha and Nnewi, I think Nnewi have more Industries than Onitsha (my personal opinion). |
@ achi4u UNN University of Nkwo Nnewi , is that what u ppl call it over there?since you have stayed there that long (13yrs),we will need pix of this great market, ppl only know of Onitsha Main market and even come their to buy goods. @ OkijaAmaka The poster issue! Need to be handled Asap. Look at even Abuja in all its beauty, u will find posters spread all round the city. We need to ban posters and put laws in place for offenders. @ VAQAXY What are u ppl doing @ women development centre? Also we will like to know what the meeting is all about. |
[ZZZzXzXzxxZxZ zXzXzXzzquote a xthor=OkijaAmaka post=27485446]Ye, i dont like liÐfrke Obi for not banning Okada, he should have banrfned it but since government is stable lets kno0w whether Obiano or even FG will do the needfful. Besides Obi xfmight have looked into the economic implications of banning okada considering that about 80% of okada and its parts in West Africa are locally produced in Nnewi. What if he banned the Okada and factories in Nnewi started retrenching, the managements of those coy will accuse him of killing their businesses while workers in those factories will aslo curse him for sending to bed on empty stomach. The best thing is to summon those manufactueres and tell them the need to move into Keke parts manufacturing because the policy of banning Okada could be in the offing. Lets not wake and ban Okada, besides am seeing the gradual demise of Okada now in Nigeria because Keke is better and more lucrative. Nobody does hire purchase Okada again but Keke, my brother wanted who will take his bike on hire purchase but the price wasnt encouraging, the person was even persuading him to buy Keke that he will take it on any amount, to show you that the operators are no longer interested even the passengers are become scared of okada
You just spoke my mind!like seriously, you cannot wake up one morning and just ban okada cos Anambra State is a business State. The adverse effect will be huge, even though I support the ideal of banning okada in our major cities,we still need to meet the manufacturers and inform them of this plan. In kano state for example, the motor cycle spare part market (kufar ruwa), all the parts are imported from Nnewi. Infact you have to go to Nnewi and meet the importer, then he will supply you the goods.,from piston to rings, tubes etc. They have inscriptions like this tobias, ocheson, ezees and the rest. Heard that most of them are made in Nnewi, while others are imported from China with the goods bearing the Owners Name. |
, investnow played a fast one @ you. But really me I can not believe what I am seeing until I come back home my self.
