oneeast3: With all the noise, I am yet to see any of them with this sort of superhighway in their state.. cheesy

Anambra is actually leading the pack.. cheesy
Just listen to yourself, this statement you just made, is it the essence why this thread was created? We are not competing with anybody, rather we are showing the good things in our state. It is not our business if others do not agree with us and we cannot force our ideals on them. please let us just focus on the topic and how this thread can bring development to anambra state. If you repeat this thing(post rubbish here), then I will know this is not Chino rather an imposter (yoruba trying to impersonate Chino) trying very hard to derail this thread again just like fun.
Op please label your pix, and also make it interesting so that others can be forced to comment and not just follow. Thank you all.

Olodoowoh and Francis5, we know that Anambra is dirty, please leave it like that for us. Please now leave us alone, if you know that Enugu or Imo thread is more beautiful, then please go their and leave this place. OdenigboAroli; ignore all this posts from haters please. Listen to what Chuksphil2go is saying and ignore them. You (OdenigboAroli) quoting them will only further derail this thread.
Chino.....Chino..... Please don't quote this people again, this is how that other thread was derailed. You know that the mod will not protect this thread, the way they (Afem4eve) are protecting the Enugu thread. Please Chino if you reply them again, I will know that you are fool just as every body is calling you. I beg you again ignore them please, thank you sir.
Op please continue, I like the way you are posting pix. Also try and make the thread interesting. What I mean is that, try to ask people questions about the place you are posting. And also take time and let those following to comment on the importance of each project.

Nice Op, please the 2nd and last pictures, are they part of SABMiller boundary. The place look very beautiful. Please those people that are saying that PETER OBI did not try his best are just wicked and don't understand what the man have done (Note: I hv nt benefited from him, but need to air my view).
When I was serving in Delta state(Abah-Unor close 2 Ogwashi-uku) early last year, some one that was working in Zenit Bank (cos they do transaction with them) told me that the first 500 staff that will work in SABMILLER will be anambra citizens (that was what they were told, cos he wanted to help his own brother).
Please Op, continue with ur good works and don't allow detractors to disturb you (the way chino did).

thwarrior72: Like someone said earlier, how do we get the mod/admin to delete this thread, since the purpose has been defeated & we the Anambrerians are no longer interested in sustaining it....
My brother have you studied some comment of our own IGBO brothers (from other states). Why do we hate our selves like this, some people will be so happy just to see this thread die. The person that started this whole madness (Faun), no body is calling his name only Chino. Please people should just leave Chino alone, as he just danced to the tune of those Evil people that hate anambra.
Let us (true anambra sons/daughters) see how we can restart another thread of salvage this one as. They are so many benefits attached to this. Remember in Enugu thread where Spyder complained about a road and made it public, before you know the next day some thing was done about it. Let us try and do some thing that our Government can notice and you will be surprised how most of our ideals and suggestions will be used. Thank you and may God bless us all.

thwarrior72: Pathetic... if Enugu peeps was able to maintain the sanity of their thread & keeps it going after 3years, what stops us from maintaining our nascent thread? undecided undecided
My brother like seriously, so we cannot even maintain our own thread for just 72hours. Go to the Enugu thread and see how they use to ignore unwanted people. When you come there posting rubbish, they will just ignore you and before you know the mod will start deleting the posts.
I am ashamed of my anambra peeps, those it mean that Enugu peeps are more matured than us.

OdenigboAroli: mediately the CP finished his address, the action movie started. The bulldozer roared immediately and first descended on the imposing gate enclosing the property.

Onlookers including the police and villagers ran for cover as the fence pillar came crashing down with a loud bang. Like an angry lion seeking to devour its prey, the machine pounced on the main building crushing first the plastic tank used by mother of the suspected kidnapper whom the gathering was told resided in the building until that very morning.

In a jiffy, the entire structure was reduced to rubbles before the earth moving machine engaged a reverse gear and headed to the next target.

The next port of call was Akamanato village also at Nando. This time it was a two-storey building. CP Karma said the house belonged to a certain Nnamdi Nwabia, another notorious kidnapper who belonged to the same gang with Emeka Nando. He said Nwabia too was shot dead while government was demolishing the property to warn the people that crime did not pay.

Before the demolition squad moved in, the police were magnanimous enough to not only allow the occupants of the building to remove their household properties but also joined in evacuating them swiftly.

Daily Sun learnt that the occupants were Ebonyi State indigenes who lived as tenants while working as artisans and labourers in the community.

Some villagers who spoke to Daily Sun while the demolition was ongoing revealed that the house was built by Nnamdi’s father who worked as a government agent many years back. They noted that the man had already finished the construction aspect before he died while the son only roofed the building and fixed the windows.

They lamented that government should have exercised restraint in demolishing the entire property because according to them; it amounted to throwing away the baby with the bath water.

About 45 minutes later, the two-storey building was leveled to the ground and the team moved to the next target.

At Abube Ndiuno village, Nando, it was another storey building belonging to late Ofamaiji, whose son, Osinwa reportedly converted to a hideout for kidnap victims. The police boss in the state while giving further clarification named three kidnap victims in the past who were kept inside the lonely building. He said the principal suspect, Osinwa was still on the run while the police have spread its dragnet to catch him.

Some villagers who expressed their views to Daily Sun on the demolition exercise raised divergent opinions on the situation. Some hailed government on the demolition exercise while others contended that government should have exercised restraint in demolishing people’s houses but rather confiscate such properties. Those who held the latter view said it was clear that some of the kidnap suspects were killed extra judicially, as no court of competent jurisdiction tried and convicted them of the said offence except some confessional statements while in police detention, which, according to them might have been obtained under duress or torture.

A resident of Nando, in a chat with Daily Sun, applauded government for the demolition exercise, saying such should continue so that the society could regain its lost values. She said she managed her life with her meagre earnings, as a local farmer and was content with her income but some people would like to grab money instantly without working for it. That, she said, easily led people into committing all manner of criminal activities in the society today.

In his comment, Iyke Isaac enjoined the youths to seek for valuable means of livelihood instead of resorting to quick fix and short cuts. But on the other hand, he blamed the government for creating the widening gap between the rich and the poor, which had led to frustration among the youths, leading some of them to vow to hit it big at all costs.

Gov. Obiano, while appraising the demolition exercise so far, said there was no going back on the determination of the government to rid the state of all criminal activities.

He declared that Anambra State was now safe for investors because of government efforts to checkmate crime in the state and assured residents that even the yuletide season would be crime free in the state because of an enduring peace presently in place. He disclosed that a retired commissioner of police had been engaged by the government to coordinate the activities of vigilante groups which had ensured that security was in place at the grass roots.

“Anambra is very safe now, so all investors and Anambra people in Diaspora should please come home. Night life has gradually returned and I’m working on the street lights. Once more, we have a big and happy state and that is where we are headed. What is happening today is a continuation of the work of Operation Kpochapu because in the last 10 days, the new Commissioner of Police and the operation team were able to arrest seven hardened criminals and some of the arrests were made outside Anambra State.

“Even recently, we foiled a kidnap in Abia State from here. The criminals are on the run presently and they have left Anambra for good. We have destroyed their infrastructure in line with the laws of the state. Now that we have destroyed three houses in Nando, we still have another nine lined up for demolition in other parts of the state. We are making good inroad into these critical areas and what is important for the people of the state to understand is that we have won this war already.

“We have destroyed their command and control centers, their source of arms and even their organisation now is suspect because they cannot organise themselves well again because we are on their toes. I want to reassure everybody that under my watch, Anambra people can go to bed and sleep well and while doing that, I repeat that any attempt by any kidnapper, armed robber or even pick pocket will be seriously dealt with,” the governor submitted.
Nice I am happy with this development, because no state can develop without adequate security. I am happy with this new developments in anambra state. Please do you have any information about the new markets that willie obaino is about to build and updates with the new flyover in awka.

Faun hope you are very happy now that you have derailed this thread, and some people will be calling chino as if it is Chino that started the whole thing. I am not even sure if you are IGBO by tribe. Chikude: you have this hatred for anambra, no offence attached. I have being following you comment here for a long time now and I know you will be very happy to see this thread like this. Nwewi1stSon: I am disappointed in you sir (Note; the sir means that I have a lot of respect for you here in nairaland) and it is because of your comments which are matured. I expect you to show some kind of maturity here, now that Chino have allowed himself to be used by people that hate anambra state.
Lastly I want to say that I am not happy with the mod ( Afem in particular), I wish Ngwakwe is around, I know this will not have happened. Please Osymerga, where are you, come and continue with your thread.

Chino why will you create a thread only to derail it less than 48hours after it was created. Don't you know that some of the people arguing with you now, actually want this to happen and they have already achieved their aims. Every body have being waiting for this thread only for it to be derailed now. Do you know how many people that will be happy with this. Also I will say that the way some IGBO's behave is very bad. We just hate ourselves and still pretend about the whole thing. I usually comment on ENUGU thread and when spyder came to comment here some people were saying that he should leave.
Also lastly, I will like to say that one of the reason why ENUGU thread is still strong is because of Afem4eva. Afem please try and regulate this thread also, blocking every detractors and people that hate Anambra.
let us join hands together and work as a team. CHINO stop please and ignore all those detractors.
How is work on the new market going, because I am from ORUMBA SOUTH EZIRA precisely and I learnt that willie obaino is planning to build 3 new markets.

Seriously chino, what berem said is true. U just derailed ur own thread now. U would have ignored agonized = Tunde salami = many other things. Seriously would have love to see where there will be using for this search ( meaning the area in Aguleri).
Chino please learn to ignore some comments, don't even know if the ANAMBRA THREAD you are planning to create will last cos of this kind of behavior. The first comment from Tunde salami would have being ignored totally and we would have asked important questions about the search.
Also Chino, I will like to ask you a very important question.
PoliticsRe: Anambra International Cargo/Passenger Airport (AICA) Ready In 18months - Obiano by 3dankey(m): 5:48am On Sep 19, 2014
I hope that this becomes a reality, for those saying otherwise please why do u speak like this. Every one here know that an Airport project in ANAMBRA state is long over due. Delta state built their airport just because of anambra and also awarded a dual carriage way from warri port to Asaba (do you know how many KM that road is) also because of anambra. I can still remember the speech the governor (Delta state) gave concerning the road project (Warri port to Asaba). Where he said that he had already held meeting with Onitsha Traders before awarding the road project.
Listen to all the haters, all Airport's (Enugu,Imo,Asaba and even Ph) around the region will survive. Also please read the heading again before commenting Cargo/Passenger Airport. Please let us be happy with each other, we need to travel to know that all this Hatred among us will do us no good.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by 3dankey(m): 7:39pm On Sep 15, 2014
Collynzo17: I have been noticing the increasing number of made in South east (espy. Aba) consumables in supermarkets around here (PH), toiletries like soaps, tissue papers etc. and edibles.
This Mini short bread biscuit below has been making waves, so I decided to have a taste of it, I looked at the back of the pack expecting to see ''made in UK'' like its senior brother, to my surprise it was made in Anambra and it tastes just as good as the UK one.
Patronize made in SE goods and help companies in the South east grow!
Seriously I use to do this things very well. I remember when ever I want to wash my clothes, I will ask them to give me HUMMER soap cos it is made in aba, even when I see B29 and others. Also whenever I want to buy Noodles, I go for Tummy-Tummy than others (Dangote, Honeywell etc.). I don't know that some one thinks like me here ooo. Some times I ask myself if I am ok, cos I will always check the back before buying any thing to see where it is produced.
I must confess that we (south east nigeria) are really trying in manufacturing of consumables like Biscuits, toiletries like soaps, tissue papers. I still feel we can do more like Close up is done by GlaxoSmithKline we need to attract such big multinationals into south East market. Look at Ogun state, as a case study (abgara I am not sure of the name) u have a lot of Multinationals there like GlaxoSmithKline, Lafarge WAPCO, etc. We need such multinationals to grow, but those white men are wicked not to even site one major factory in south east. I can still remember all the time that Peter Obi was using Sun then to wish Dangote Happy birthday. He will also include that we would be happy if you can invest in our state and with all that this man can not even site 1 factory in south east, and he expect us to leave IBETO and buy DANGOTE.
Please Chino, I like the way you defend IGBO's on Nairaland, but Please don't fight your brothers here. I am from Anambra, but a better ENUGU is in my interest, just like a better ANAMBRA is also.

Allohrandy: mumu. In a sane country GEJ would have step down. we need to change tactics. GEJ leadership and military tactic has not been able to stop boko haram in the last 5 year. boko haram is attacking borno state while GEJ is currently in Kenya right now enjoying himself
.
Please how foolish and silly can one be, is it not the president that went to kenya to discuss a very important meeting concerning terrorism. That some one here is saying that he is enjoying himself. Like it or leave it, jonathan is the most insulted president nigeria could ever have and also the only president that no matter what he do (even turn nigeria to london or insurgency stop now) people will still hate him.
How did we get to this extent of so much hate based on ethnicity and on religion.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by 3dankey(m): 2:16pm On Aug 20, 2014
I have commented just once on this thread and will like to air my views again. Listen my IGBO BROTHERS, the only way we can attain this kind of height's that we all wish for,Is to have a FUNCTIONAL SEAPORT on our own. Jonathan gave us an international airport good, but we need a seaport. Only peter obi was even serious about it when he was in office and I still blame him for not persuading jonathan enough to complete the dredging of the river niger (don't know if I am correct) that would have made onitsha seaport a reality. We don't need a river port please.
I can also remember when he was the chairman of southeast governors forum: their was a resolution then from 1 of their meetings for the FEDERAL government to complete the seaport in akwa ibom(ABAKA not sure of the name) and link it by RAIL to ABA and other south east states. Now he is no longer there, don't know what the clueless/useless orji is doing. When ever I see us insulting ourselves I almost give up, we are IGBO's and should learn to love ourself (let's stop all this ANAMBRA better than enugu fight) instead let us complement ourselves.
Now take it or leave, there have being a grand plan to frustrate the IGBO's for a long time starting with ENUGU,ONITSHA, and ABA. Thank God we got an INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, not enough until we get that seaport. A seaport in south east or close to the east like akwa ibom, will change the whole of IGBO land in less than 3 years. Just wish our governors are seeing this things we discussing here and can achieve it.
NOTE: achieving this will not be easy, remember stella odua (only for international airport oooo). For this expect enough blackmail and other things from those that do not want to see any thing good in the east. I rest my case and hope that one day a seaport close to the east and linked my RAIL will be a reality.

I will support basilo on this!because I have stayed in kano and also because I have the same mind set about the place like Bishop and IgboSon. Then whenever I see the governor speaking, I will say look at this 1 that their state is backward. I was wrong, when I came to kano around march this year and lived with my uncle in NIGER ROAD SABON GARI or when ur coming from FRANCE ROAD just stop at ZENIT BANK.
Listen, seriously I was shocked at what I saw, because I came in from MINNA NIGER STATE. So I got to kano around past three. The GLO towers, UNITY bank headquarters and other high rise buildings that I saw was mind blowing. when I told my uncle that my view about kano have changed! He said that I have not seen any thing. That he will take me to SHOPRITE and other beautiful places in KANO CITY. My uncle have a shop in KUFAR RUWA, that is for motor cycle spare part and that is where you will find IGBO mostly in kano. I move From FRANCE ROAD to KUFAR RUWA everyday and I think this place is developed by all standard.
I am no longer in kano because this BOKO HARAM stuff and most IGBO are planning to leave by DECEMBER finally.

The way we reason in naija is so surprising. Some people here just listen to a fake news from a wicked source (BBC), that do not see any thing good in nigeria or its armed forces. Since this boko haram rubbish started! Tell me any news that have being reported from this BBC that have commended our soldiers.
If you people like believe this rubbish, but I will not. Our armed forces are the best and their is nothing like mutiny in the camp of our soldiers. This wicked news blog/site can report all the rubbish it like.
