I've been pondering on this for sometime now, seriously it's an issue that generates series of unanswered questions and raises a lot of eyebrows. There are many couples out there that got married with low or no wedding ceremony and are still waxing stronger together in love while countless of couples with ceremonious and high wedding profile are nowhere to be found. It's disheartening and discouraging to realize these couples get separated much more sooner than they courted right after marriage bliss which begs the question if truly wedding ceremony is over-hyped/overrated. Afterall, living happily ever after is what counts and matters most. Please share with us your view on this. Thanks

Sometimes ago,I created a thread where I told everyone who cared to listen that marriage starts immediately the parent of the bride hands over the bride to the groom/groom family.

Ceremony is not necessary. In fact, it is not what happens on wedding day that matters but what happens after that day.

People can't be satisfied. Don't try to satisfy them to your own detriment. Wives love your husbands and respect them. Same for husband. That is what matter most.

Weddings are overhyped mbok.Especially here in my beloveth country.People even go as far as borrow money just to throw elaborate weddings, and later start drinking garri in their marriage.why please people and displease urself.

This idea and act of borrowing you mentioned I think is the most stupid thing to do. Na real wah!
