Scripture Reading:"Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto my altar, that thy unclothedness be not discovered thereon"( Exodus 20:26).


It has always been against God's will and God's word for one person to see the unclothedness of another. The Old Testament even the New Testament God as a holy God, who frowns at sin and anything that can cause others to sin against Him. One of such things that can lead others to sin greatly is the exposition of one's unclothedness.

Men and women today consider it normal to dress in such a way that their unclothedness can be seen, either a little or much. They are no longer ashamed of that. THEY USED TO BE!!! It is now a societal norm to dress to expose the body. Those who do not dress like that are called achaic, old fashion or even old school.They say you have a low taste of fashion. What a misnorma.Even our children in the nursery/elementary school have known that dressing, apart from being for identification, beauty and warmth, also know that, it is to cover our unclothedness. But you do not see up to fifty percent of that these days. May God help us!
Cover your unclothedness means that your private parts should be kept private by all means. They should not be exposed to others whatsoever. If you are a man, other than your wife, no other person is qualified enough to see any or all of your private parts. Same thing applies to the women folk. Anything contrary is disobedience to God's Word.

Specifically, what are the private parts that should not be exposed? They include the following:



*The chest area
*The breasts
*The armpits
*The thighs down to a little bellow the knees
*The genital organs
*The lower abdomen
*The buttocks
*The upper arms and
*The lower abdomen
All such areas should be properly covered and not be exposed for what ever reason(s). Additionally, things like pants and all underwears should not not be for public glare. In Exodus 28:42, we are told,"And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their unclothedness;from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach." Pastors and all christian leaders should teach their members to cover their unclothedness.
That is the standard to follow in sewing or choosing our clothes. Any clothes that does not thus cover our unclothedness should be discarded forthwith.
The world does not know how to dress. We are not to dress like them. Let them learn how to dress from the world and not the other way round.If we have compromised in this area of our christian life, we should repent and turn a new leave. NO DISOBEDIENT CHRISTIAN WILL MAKE HEAVEN. Be different even in your dressing. Remain blessed.
