People here aren't sitting around waiting on "free oil money", they work and earn a living! And hey, northerners don't get products of crude oil for free either, they buy it like you do. And you also get a part of the tax from farm produce. Even here in Southern Kaduna state, government workers are building houses that they could not ordinarily have afforded and its all thanks to farming and other businesses they engage in. And hey, some northern states I know have better roads than your Almighty East, better portable water supply. And the list goes on.
Yes, there are out of school kids and that's because some folks here value religious education over Western education.
