oil production In the north? only in your dreams.
What makes you think it is not possible. Who could have thought of oil in Lagos not too long ago?

pick up any secondary school geography textbook and you would realise that oil is commonly found in the continental shelf such as in Lagos. the true econimic viability of Lagos oil deposits is another matter altogether

clearly you don't even know that IMO,abia and other Igbo speaking parts are oil producing areas. you guys Just like buhari thinks oil alone can save any economy. the world most wealthy and technologically advanced countries are mostly resource poor countries that invested in education and human capital development. but how would you know when western education is forbidden (haram) to you and buhari.

Why are the IGRs of these most technologically advanced and industrial places competing with Borno state? grin grin grin see roads of technologically advanced Paris grin

They are not exploring oil, this is looting 101. They are syphoning funds through fake projects that won't end and will not have any economic importance.

Forget the politics and look at the money trail, I am 1000percent certain that they don't care about oil but this is a big cash out program for those corrupt few including Mr President.
+1000 likes.that's how they took 100 million dollars from Jonathan for oil explorations In the bida basin.it's all a corrupt scheme.

USA, France, To, China, Dubai etc are all abandoning oil and have already prepared for life after oil but here our government is spending money to explore oil where no atom of oil can even be found.
The ones already explored have made no impact to the life of the common Man instead the proceeds end up inside the pockets of good individuals.
Our roads are dead trapd, our airports are obsolete and objects of caricature and shame. Other countries are using speed trains, electric trains but our leaders only care about importing 1960 10th hand train That causes headache and pains courtesy of the noise pollution coming out from it.All the sectors of the economy are in shambles yet what they are interested in is wasting billions of naira to drill oil that we will soon be begging other nations to buy.
We really lack leaders with foresight. All they are interested in is the present and not the future.

Hope you know all those countries are called developed countries. If Nigeria abandons oil today, or if all the wells dry up, how do you think this country will survive? They should keep working on diversifying the economy but for the next 20 years even with the best president in the Villa, we still need that oil produced in large quantity.

Did I just hear you say that Saudis have abandoned oil? you think it is that easy to change one's source of revenue overnight? Better go get yourself acquainted with the Saudi's initiative before you blab on spewing half truths.
We all know that the reason why Easterners keep on calling the north a parasite is because of oil!
Need i remind you that [South] Sudan is an oil producing country despite being landlocked.
You guys hiding behind your keyboards act like you are more informed about the issue than those who are supposed to be experts dishing advice to the government.

Operation focus on the north! Wasting the entire country's available little resources on exploration where no trace of oil has ever been found nor tales ever told of oil.

Why not invest in Agriculture instead of this so called BLACK GOLD that is becoming lesser and lesser in relevance.

The President Buhari led federal government has a wrong mentality for investment. The glorious sweet days of oil is far getting away and we are still making the same mistakes to invest in oil.

If oil price rises today, it will not even secure us as a nation as the politicians are not ready to create the enabling environment for better investment to grow our economy.

I hardly quote people on this forum, but I think some of you are either ignorant, blinded by hatred for igbos or outright stupid, from the part of east I come from all the rich guys there made their money from other sources other than oil, the truth is that our present political leaders in the east all lack focus, the igbo man I repeat do not need the oil of other tribes down south to survive or succeed, open up your mind or keep it forever closed and die prematurely with your hate
