Special Anti-Robbery Squad popularly regarded by the Nigerian acronym as SARS have reportedly left a couple’s lives hanging by the thread as they allegedly opened fire on them for refusing to bribe them.

The brutal attack had taken place as the couple was stopped in the middle of the road somewhere along Bodija market, Ibadan.

According to an online post, the couple refused to tip the ‘overpowered’ Police sect and as a result, while they tried to park, the SARS operatives on duty opened fire on them at about 7:30pm.

The couple is presently receiving emergency medical treatment in their critical condition at UCH Hospital, Ibadan.
