Why is Yorubaland developing? Yorubas built Nigeria's ICT and startup environment, that takes a lot of hardwork. Understanding that tech is the new oil, Yorubas built a tech start up culture in Nigeria. Yorubas responds to economical changes; Cocoa/agriculture ==> commercial => Industrial/corporate ==> Tech 99% of tech hubs are in Yorubaland and are owned by Yorubas [i.e Andela, CChub, etc). These companies are recognized by Facebook and Google companies. Yorubas own large corporation in millions and billions of naira: https://www.nairaland.com/3918290/yorubas-most-industriousrichest-educated-tribe. The richest Nigerian developers- mostly located in Lagos - are Yorubas Yoruba politicians work hard to create investment friendly and industry friendly environment in their land Yorubas are super brilliant. Check the first-accomplishments in Nigeria, Yorubas make up most of the list Yoruba state/SW in generate contributes more than half of the country's non-oil revenue and IGR 11 Likes |

kn23h: Abia State indigenes don't know what Good governance looks like until they visit the South west. People who are not qualified to be local government chairmen in ekiti have been the ones running the affairs of the state since 1999 Aba needs to be demolished. No pig deserves to be reared in Aba. Ever wondered why lamidi cownu refers to Nigeria as a Zoo? If you visit Abia State, I'm very sure you will agree with lamidi cownu that Abia State is indeed a Zoo 12 Likes |

I also wonder. They don't have good leaders to lead them towards self sustenance. But look across the country, every ethnic groups have similar problem. Yorubas also have worse set of "leaders". What of north. They also have unworthy "leaders" in the north. That is why boko haram stood up against their senseless leadership. |

kn23h, just leave Igbos alone with their problems From the first comment, Amarabae deflected by attacking Fayose and mentioning IDP camps in Osun, shebi na her father start refugee camp for Osun Igbos are low IQ animals who can't be reasoned with, they'd rather lie to themselves and wallow in ignorance than profer solutions to their own problems. 16 Likes 1 Share |

Alcatraz005: Our play field is beyond Igbo land. We will develop Igbo land definitely. But we must get our politics right. Our politics is currently burdened by an oppressive Nigeria state that hates core Igbo values of merit, fairness and equality. Very soon Tony Nwonye will take over in Anambra and it will be a 50/50 chance. We pray he walks the part of Ngige rather than Rochas. This way our opponents will be disappointed. Otherwise we will still await the opportune time to get our true leader not the one influenced by Nigeria. Meanwhile we will continue to migrate to other parts of Nigeria where opportunities abound. |

kn23h: Slavery is a mindset issue, who is the leader of America, and Britain? The man who determines what others follow... We're built to follow our minds, not individuals, except if we share in the same ideology. Following Bola Tinubu, has led Nigeria and Yorubas into recession. |

eyeview:Not like the thread concerns me but the truth is that South East leaders don't have developmental plans, save for Umahi and Ebonyi state. I used to think Obiano had plans for Anambra but the man fancy propaganda beyond true developments. Abia state is a write-off despite walking the path of an economic state. Enugu state governor had just one mandate; maintain the good deeds of Sullivan Chime, but no, he towed the path of neglect and would rather organise fasting and prayer alongside every Phyno concert at the Stadium. Refuse dump centres are fast showing up in strategic areas in the only two developed local governments in the state and no one is saying a thing. Just recently, a sink hole surfaced at New Haven junction and forces all vehicles into using just a route. Rotary club fixed the road with all diligence while 'Gburugburu' came all out after two weeks to 'commission' the road! Imo... Well, I don't need to say a thing about that one. I don't know how else to best describe a people so fortunate to have been blessed with the kind of governors they have now. In plain English language, the South East has no developmental blue print. Umahi might have one but I sure as hell believe no other South Eastern governor has one. 9 Likes 1 Share |
