Yampotatocarrot:
Please, house I have an enquiry and will make it as understandable as possible.

I studied Plant Science and Biotechnology, but applied and got admission for Medical Bioscience (Applied biomedical science) in several universities in the UK. My aim is to get an accredited certificate, join HCPC and get a job under NHS (Haematology).

Checking the IBMS and HCPC websites for registration requirements pending when that time comes, one of the requirements is to have a IBMS accredited B.Sc degree which will include some basic courses. However, I discovered I didn't study ANY of the basic courses like Anatomy, immunology, bioinformatics, e.t.c during my undergraduate level.

The website listed two options in this case: top-up courses for those that already studied some of the basic courses during their undergraduate level or outrightly undergoing a B.Sc program in biomedical sciences for those that didn't study any of the basic courses during their undergraduate program.

I want to know, is there anyone here who went from an entirely non-medical field to a M.Sc in the medical profession and currently working with it without undergoing a fresh B.Sc?

(Note: I have no problem with taking ALL the missing courses as top-up courses, I just don't want to go for another B.Sc due to the cost implication)

Thanks in advance.

I will try my BEST not to write what my mind is saying.

You studied PLANT SCIENCE (aka BOTANY) undergrad.

The UK university offered you MEDICAL BIOSCIENCE. (MSC).

On your own ohhh... you decided to call it APPLIED BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE.

You (on your own) decided to rename a course given to you (to suit your purpose).

Ah ahhhh brossss.

And you want to work in HAEMATOLOGY with the NHS.

Ahhhhh brossssss.....

You mentioned in your post that the course you were given is called Applied Biomedical science in several Universities, right?
Good.
Apply to the several universities, and get admission in one where the course is accredited.
Then go to that one.

I know you have convinced Yourself that MEDICAL BIOSCIENCE is the same as APPLIED BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE.

Please, help yourself, and erase that conviction. They are not the same.

The school that offered you the admission are not Dundee United. They know why they called it that way.

Azimo is not trying at the moment. Just check Azimo now and £1= #466. Read some feedback on Ace, some customers said you may need to upload your Payslip

I actually love the way you think, I really do, Sir.

Well, let me politely explain. In Nigeria, we have botany department, plant science and plant science and Biotechnology (depending on the school you attend), however when you check the module for the different schools, you'll find out it's the same thing.

Now, same applies to biomedical science or applied biomedical science or medical Bioscience, checking the module shows that they offer the same courses. (Note when you check the IBMS accredited list, they are called different names depending on the school)

As for applying, I already have admission in about 6 universities for the M.Sc, both conditional and unconditional.

As for Haematology, it's a specialisation under biomedical science or applied biomedical science (anyone you decide to call it). There are other areas of specialization, but I want to go for this one.

(I actually thought my question was very easy to understand, seems I thought wrong).

Well let's both agree I'm wrong, please can you help answer the exact question I asked?

(Thanks in advance)

We just heard about ACE too, and interestingly they had better reviews on trust pilot than transfer wise which we thought was the best rate. Porting sharply

Hello house Pls kindly assist me with this question from my sister. My sister husband lives in the UK with a permanent residence. My sister has twins (2years old) that are UK citizen, . Now she wants to apply for spouse visa, she wants to verify if the kids need to apply too ?since they are citizen do they need to apply for settlement visa ? Will her husband only meet financial requirement of £18600 for her alone or he needs to meet the financial requirement for the her and the kids?. We are a bit confused here. Kindly assist please. Thank you.
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 9:53pm On Apr 23, 2020
You just said the twins are citizens .. wetin dem wan apply for if they are? Unless you mean the kids are actually not citizens yet then they just need to go down the citizenship route

Spousal Visa is just 'Spouse' and doesn't apply to kids. One needs to obviously include the kids' names on the form. He needs to meet the financial requirements for just her.

If the kids already have a passport or their father is settled (ILR or Citizenship) then there is no action item for the kids

It would then be spouse dependent Visa for your sister and the 18,600 for her alone will be enough

@hiddenid thanks for the Ace recommendation. I did try them today by sending £23 to test the waters. Now, the recipient just told me they have credited him N12k thrice. Are they that generous?

With your new employee starter pack tax code requirement section, did mention this was your only job?

When your tax records catch up, expect an underpayment tax bill........
