Hello, The story seems baseless. There are no scientific proves about such ACID RAIN that was posted on the internet by a guy from California on the 15th of Feb, 2010. If his claims are anything to go by then the ACID RAIN according to him should have fallen between 20th and 28th of Feb. We are in March already, so lets trash this is whole stuff with a wave of hand. If you do want to further confirm check this link: http://message.snopes.com/showthread.php?t=57381#post1158892 This is a site basically for rumors. Or better still check what our own Naija Meteorological people has to say: http://www.businessdayonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9518:nigerian-expert-nasa-meteorologist-allay-fears-over-acid-rain-&catid=85:national&Itemid=340 Have a GREAT day full of God's abundant RAIN of blessings! |

[b][b]if water (rain) H2O mixes with atmospheric carbon IV oxide, it forms a slightly acidic com pond called H2CO3 or what we call tri-oxo-carcbnate V acid. in situations where that happens, it's called acid rain. its not the kind of acid that burns the skin o! but it's harmful to plants and corrodes metals. thank god somebody has help us to analyse the probs |

the disease of the egyptians's not our portion.God gave us rain to bless our land.to make it fertile and bless his children and not to cause disease or harm to his children.then if u are God's own, dont panic, cos He(GOD) will protect his own.if u believe shout halleluya and the plaques of the egytians will not near your dwelling place.science has proved the reason why they are called scientist and God will also prove his omnipotency.the scientist of all scientists, the physician of physicians.the king of kings and the lord of lords.what more,it will happen but will only hear of it. |

Hello Nigeria. The issue of acid rain is not supposed to be a treat to the nation. This one is not going to be the first. Even if this is going to have a negative effect. What is the government doing to counter it. |

Nigerians are so gullible that we will believe anything let me add that this is the reason why our leaders find it easy to exploit us. Acid rain my foot has it not been falling all the while in the Niger Delta, Lagos and all our highly industrialised areas. People should go back to school or ask their younger ones about what they are ignorant of. |
Re: Acid Rain Forecast In Parts Of Nigeria by dominique(f): 9:34pm On Mar 29, 2010 |
when it rained last week in my area, people were in a mad frenzy running for their dear lives even kids. everybody is complaining about Nigeria and no one wants to die . but on a more serious note, people need to enlighten themselves about things like this. its so annoying that Nigerians are not curious one bit, they don't want to process anything with their brains. they just want to accept accept whatever silly rumour they hear and jump to mad conclusions. that why hundreds of people perished in that canal during bomb blast scare of 2002 |
