A teacher of the Word is supposed to equip the flock with the Word of God and set their minds on things that cannot perish. But the false teachers are neglecting their primary and only assignments and chasing after the riches of this world. They are erecting mighty mansions when many Christians cannot even tell their right from their left in spiritual matters. Of what use are massive church buildings when God does not live in houses made of stones? Of what use is gaining the whole world and losing your soul in hell? Of what use is having churches in every street corner when the average Christian is still wicked at heart and very fraudulent? Of what use are mighty buildings when the average politician is extremely corrupt and lacking a conscience? You will find in these mighty and useless church buildings: 1. Politicians diverting funds meant for his community. 2. Pension bosses sitting on the pensions of workers. 3.A lawyer or a wicked uncle or aunty sitting on the inheritance of their wards, e.t.c. Thousands of massive church buildings and sermons every Sunday and yet corruption is still pervasive. Poverty is still pervasive. Instead of feeding the flock, they are fleecing the flock. I ask again: of what use are church buildings and private jets? Do they equip and edify the saints? Or they help to glorify the empire of the pastor? Do they advance the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of the pastor? Of what use are missionary schools that are not affordable? Of what use are these materialistic things that would perish one day? Why are pastors building church buildings instead of the Church? 11 Likes 2 Shares |

It baffles me when people start talking about unrepentant criminal like Adeboye, in 2009 his church use to rake in 24m every Sunday from PH region, the criminal queried stagnancy of the amount and ordered transfer of some of the Pastors, set a new target of 30m weekly for the new Pastors. Since that happening, I became very knowledgeable of Adeboye fraudulent activities. Shun those criminal, Yahoo boys de learn where Adeboye and the like are 8 Likes 2 Shares |

[quote author=Rilwayne001 post=62283220] He's only an example to upcoming fraudulent pastors who would use the name of God to enrich themselves while impoverishing their gullible sheeps. I suppose Jesus is to be the major example to follow and not any supposed man of God, no? [/quote Your knowledge is shallow. If you have ten of millions of people following you, how on earth are going to be poor. Publicizing givings and alms is not scriptural that is why u will not see any genuine man of God doing that. |

nzeobi: Seriously, this is what you came up wiith. Instead of you grabbing the point Falana so deftly made you are directing him to muslims. Christians go off to Jerusalem too spend money while they there. How many Imams do you see parading private jets and opening universities even church members cant afford. Truth is a good number of your clergymen are seriously out for the money rather than serving their supposed caller. The pilgrimage is part of our faith and enjoined on us to perform when we can afford it. It is bad that Nigeria wastes its scarce forex (subsidized for pilgrims) on these religious ventures. But that is a different matter. What I want to know tho is this, why should a man of God live in such affluence when members of his congregation who pay tithes and offerings can't afford three ssquare meals. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

I don't know when pastor turn to messiah of sinners,if your country is bad so it's the church that will use his money to build it .church members contributions it's meant for church expansion and taking care of less privileged within the church. No matter the online rant Christianity is growing and God is watching so falana advise is nothing.your hatred to EA adeboye won't change anything whom God as bless no one can bring down just go and get life for yourself.if you think it's easy create your own church and building school and roads all over the country |

Most of us don't understand exactly what the church means or symbolises. Going by the comments some people, perhaps highly devoted members of a church, are of the opinions that churches don't owe anything to the society as long as we've got politicians. That maybe true, but not entirely. The crux of Christianity is mercy and generosity, as portrayed by Jesus Christ, and in the scenario where such is not exhibited, what else does the church or pastor have to show that he's indeed "Christlike"?!. Is it by building schools (from the nursery up to the university level) where the tuition gives it away as a school for a certain few. I mean there are so many private schools of standard quality who don't pay as high as schools like Faith Academy. So what is the reason for the unnecessary high school fee?! If you know how amount of money these churches generate on a daily basis, then you'd understand why they're always under attack by very enlightened minds. But even their church members don't even care. Every Sunday they're ready to go the distance to church and give their mite without bothering about what they get in return. Such works of piety is only done by Orthodox churches (Catholic, Anglican) but it's sad to note that a great member of these Pentecostals, and some of their pastors still have the effrontery to criticise them simply because they follow a more traditional doctrine which even forbids someone as high as the Archbishop of Lagos from owning a Private Plane. 4 Likes 1 Share |

iamJ:hmmmmm.... When I first saw this post I was speechless... Didn't want to comment but I just think I have to... You people have no single idea what our pastors are doing to help people, is it because they don't show it openly on TV? Is it because they don't show it on papers like some churches would do? It's very funny when you guys criticise d church... Thank God d more you criticise the more the gate of hell can't prevail and the church is moving... You people have no single idea what they do to people.... I don't even know how to explain... God have mercy 1 Like |

So many questions... But would you allow God use you? Will you be ready to leave everything for the sake of the Gospel? Can God depend on you? Or you just want to join the accuser of brethren? The great commission isn't only for the Adeboyes it is for all those who are saved bro. Moreover, fault-finding is not a gift of the Spirit. Of all the churches that I attended those years when I was still going to church, I did not come across any church that gave so much attention to tithing(money) than the redeemed xtian xc of God. The preacher went as far as instilling this fear in us that even if someone sends u a gift from abroad, that u will have to find out the market value and bring the ten percent to the church. I was like, I don die, are u kidding me?? #thehustleisreal 2 Likes |
