If you learnt that a large number of those paying tithe and contributing huge sums also regularly game the system by paying huge bribes to secure both government and company contracts, they take part in funneling government money via over-inflated contracts, They help regulators to ensure only one road is delivered for the price of five. You think God most high will be pleased with them for bringing such money to church?

Don't come with that is Nigerian system and they must survive as they know what they are doing is wrong, how you know is during testimony they just say they were favoured to win the contract non of them mention the huge bribes they paid or the share they gave to government officials. This is the situation in the vast majority of public contracts.

Some Christians genuinely believe that giving God a share of 10% of the loot guarantees that another such contract will come but God is not mocked, only their pastors who can't tell them the truth by collecting billions from them that remain mocked.
