Manic depression, depression and schizophrenia cannot get triggered so fast and lead to a homicide... it is left to the court to decide whether it is man-slaughter or 2nd degree murder. Whatever no court is going to buy the case of mental illness when there was MOTIVE and CALCULATED EFFORT to clean up the crime scene.

Obsession is NOT really a mental disorder when it comes to the LAW. A person with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) cannot use that as an excuse for killing someone.
