A PDP,Chieftain and former Executive Chairman of Dekina Local Government Council, Hon.Adejoh Akowe , on Wednesday,escaped assassination attempt on his way to his country home Abocho, in Dekina Local government Area.

Mr Adejoh Akowe who was on a private visit to Ayingba, was tailed by a car conveying the hired killers squad to a village along Anyigba and Ajiolo where the gun men open fire on his car.

Hon. Akowe was the former Executive Chairman of the Dekina local government Council, was alleged to be in the bad book of the current government led by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.

Hon Adejoh worked for the success of APC,in 2015 Governorship election, Adejoh recently defected from APC, to PDP, which according to our source may be the reasons why attempt was made to silent him.

It could be recalled that last Tuesday an attempt to assassinate the PDP, youth leader in Ayingba ward failed but his motorcycle and his house was said to have been vandalised by thugs suspected to be sponsored by the agents of the state.

Threats to the lives of the opposition personalities in kogi state has become the latest development in the confluence state as the political Analysts in and outside state were of the opinion that the state security apparatus are directly in the pocket of the Governor Yahaya Bello, the development of which if not check t may lead to the reprisal.

Before now personalities like Senator Dino MELAIYE and Comrade Friday Makama were attacked by agents of the state.
