Why are the Binis trying to impose their Oba on another tribe. Those Ijaws have been there for ages as their ancestral land, perhaps National Boundary Commission can delineate that area into Delta State.
Do you know that there is Igala in Anambra State and no one is forcing them to pay allegiance to any Igbo traditional ruler?

Ijaws are just about the Fulanis of the South South. They tend to lay claims to other people's properties and do so without regards. They have become a pain even to the Lagos state Government, over their illegal oil bunkering along Agility river, all the way down to Majidun, claiming they had long been settlers there.

Besides, this issue had been dusted in court several times. It is high time they understood their place.

As you may deduce from my moniker, I am am from. Middle Belt. If you the claims above that three Court Judgement has been wọn by the the Benin Kingdom on this matter is true, and the why then are the I Jaws fomenting trouble.
The best way, and the in a civilized society to prove your case and winikis especially when land is involved is to approach the court to and of after you have been defeated in the court you are still not interested in abiding by the Judgement, you should be ready to face the wrath of the law.

It is completely absurd and unfair for you to claim you own all the coastal land from Bayelsa to Ondo State because you are Fishermen. Ijaw, please give peace a chance, we don't need another brand of Herdsmen in Southern Nigeria, but our experience in the Middle Belt is Asad one.

The point is the Igalas are within their boundaries in Kogi state which spilled over into the SE region but how do we explain a situation that have the itsekiris acting as a demarcation between the Ijaws in delta and those in Edo and Ondo? Does that make sense? It's not like their land spilled over from their ancestral land which then got carved into another state like we have in other cases!

The fact is Ijaws are settlers in both Ondo and Edo state!

What has those clay heads brought them?

Has any Ijaw become;

A President?

A vice-president?

A Dangote?

A Bill gate?

Given them paradise?

If they have achieved any these through those clays, then they have a point.

They have produced and elected V.P and president. Which Benin never do.

If soldiers come into a shrine, destroy the shrine and the gods are either unable to prevent the invasion or avenge the destruction of the shrine, such god is not worthy of worship.

I think you should worship the soldiers who are more powerful than the gods and could destroy them.

How many Churches and Mosques have been prevented from attack and destruction from the so-called living God and Allah? If you are a Christian or Muslim, I termed you useless if you had not worshiped terrorists.

It beats me how mortals are willing and ready to die in defense of their all powerful gods.

Egbesu should be able to defend itself.

An inconsequential Oba should defend himself not the state government.

Based on what? I guess the idiocy that permeates Nigerian judicial system. The Village Empire known as Bini ended in 1897 and the so-called Oba exiled in faraway country. Anything referred to Bini Empire or Oba today is silly and simply theatric.

There is no court judgment giving any Ijaw land to bini, gelegele is Ijaw and will always be, do research before you speak

Misleading topic angry
However, an advice to adherentsfaithfulszealotsfanatics-
Destroying shrines and peoples' places of finding any kind of meaning to life is tantamount to a gross violation of life, barbarism and many words come to my mind but I am too outraged on the native worshippers' behalf to remember any now!

It is cringe-worthy when I see people go on "shrine and destiny destroying" campaigns and crusades...reeks of self hate and mental slavery (we by now should all have come to the realization that we were shackled by colonialism and it's trappings- acknowledge this at least even if still stuck to these cultures...)
Live, and let live

No people in this world would ever respect a people without their own philosophies, Africa in this case
Jeez

It is just our bad luck we have to see such days. We have no rights on our own land.

Binis and Ijaws have been living side by side together for centuries - so why all this nonsense at this time?
because the ijaws suddenly woke up and wanted to establish a kingdom inside Benin kingdom, that is unacceptable.

There is no such case, dats why all bini can do is protest in benin city, notice how they cant step foot in gelegele-ijaw to protest, the governor of the state is a weakling and an extension of the obas palace
