Leisure Park and beautification is charged with planting of more trees and grassing all over Anambra. It is a new institution established by the government of Anambra State with their head office in Awka.

Not bad if they will actually plant tress and grasses along roads, roundabouts and institutions as schools, hospitals and even churches. They should mandate people to plant trees and flowers around their houses.

Driving around nice cars with nice pictures on it without even a single tree or flower to be planted somewhere is not in our interest

It is a government established institution, they are working all over Anambra planting trees and grass. They planted and maintained trees and grass on flyovers in Awka and Onitsha, and other public places like Zik's Junction. They are landscaping open places in all of Anambra. They have an appropriation in the budget. The vehicle is for conveyance of workers and monitoring.

I wonder why mixture of cement and gravel will not be placed on the road before covering it with bitumen? They just cover clay with bitumen in Anambra and expect the road to last beyond 2 years.

Senator Oduah Sponsors 100 Students To Study Film Making At ABS Film Academy

The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Princess Senator Stella Adaeze Oduah says her passion for community and humanitarian services is borne out of a desire to put smiles on the faces of people.

Senator Oduah spoke through her representative, Reverend Father Donald Uzor, Chairman of Max Life Foundation, the NGO set up in memory of her late son (Maxwell Oduah) at the official presentation and registration of 100 students being sponsored by the Princess Stella Oduah Foundation to study Film Making and Broadcast Journalism at the ABS Film Academy.

Responding, Nze Uche Nworah, Rector of the Academy and MD/CEO of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) thanked Senator Oduah for sponsoring 100 of her constituents to the Academy saying that human capital development remains one of the best ways of empowering young people.

Nze Nworah urged well meaning Ndi Anambra to borrow a leaf from Senator Oduah by sponsoring their wards to the Academy saying that Governor Willie Obiano’s grant of Fifty Million Naira to the ABS Film Academy guarantees that graduates of the academy have immediate seed money for their movie and other projects upon graduation.

Nice idea. They also need to do a lot of work in government buildings and schools and along roads. You go to many and they can't even maintain hedges or grass or trees or flowers. Basic stuff. Meanwhile go to East African cities. Trees and grass everywhere.

We need to do a lot more in terms of urban planning. Parking, wide pavements in commercial districts, setbacks from the road.

This is 2018.

I have to say that blue building is a white elephant that is ugly and non functional. Dr. Maduka would have done more for his people by funding schools with books, equipment and basic hospitals with drugs, staff not building a skyscraper in a village.
The Called by God to Bless His People.

We know real philantropists and we know political desperadoes cum businessmen. Okay read:

DR. GODWIN MADUKA built:

1) two churches, one each for the Anglicans and Catholics.
(2) built Trinity Hospital and Maternity.
(3) over 100 standard houses for widows and the poor in the area.
(4) Built Immaculate Conception International College 1 and 2 , with buses donated to them.
(5) he built a police station for security.
(6) he built a magistrate court.
(7) A standard market called (Afor Market), .
(cool built barracks for the Civil Defense staff,
(9) built two monasteries for churches.
(10) built community centre (Community Hall and his own Village Hall).
(11) built, post office.
(12) built a state high court.
(13) provided transformers to boost electricity in the community.
(14) built mighty edifices for primary and secondary schools.
(15) built a palace for the monarch, civic centre,.
(16) built houses for clerics of Catholic and Anglican churches, among others.
(17) built Five star hotel known as Lion of Africa resort.
(18) the 15 storey tall building is part of the World class International standard Hospital / Health research institute (which will serve as the destination of all health matters in Africa, since it will be the biggest and the best of it kind in African soil).

This will should serve as shame to the Federal Government and State Governments.

And a shame to those Billionaires who buy private jets and allow their people to come beg them two spoonfuls of rice ... remember, DR. GODWIN MADUKA is not the richest man in Africa, but he is the richest in Heart.

An overly excited native was quick to state:
“Today, there is no more thatched house in the community. DR. GODWIN MADUKA has replaced every thatched house in the area with three or four bedroom bungalows."
About 100 of such buildings were rebuilt. They belong to the indigent natives, especially widows. All such buildings carry green roofing aluminium zincs for easy identification.

To help fortify security in Umuchukwu, DR. GODWIN MADUKA built four two-storey buildings for police stations, complemented it with a bungalow as officers’ mess, and another structure to serve as operational base for the men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) which he donated to the Nigeria Police.
Dr. GODWIN MADUKA also built headquarters for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

DR. GODWIN MADUKA has also sponsored hundreds of students from his community, and has also helped to get them jobs.
DR. GODWIN MADUKA built Vocational center for those who want to learn handiwork.

DR. GODWIN MADUKA vowed to make his community look good, like Las Vegas in USA, before he will finally come home to settle.

My prayer is that Igbo people ... people of SouthEast, SouthSouth, MiddleBelt, SouthWest, NorthEast, NorthWest should learn from this man and go back to invest at their villages and/or communities.

*His name is DR. GODWIN MADUKA, MD/CEO Las Vegas Health Institute, USA ...

Our philanthropist of the decade.

It was not just mere act of philantropism, it's more than that. The best way to empower the young as to quarantee their future is by giving them quality education. This is what Chief Sir Ikenna Okafor KSS, IDE AKWAEZE believes and propagates. Few weeks ago, in his humble abode at Akwaeze, he gladly donated 10 new computers to Loretto Special Science School Adazi, 10 labtops to Austica college Nanka and Lab equipment to Comm. Sec sch Akwaeze. He went on to give one Loretto student scholarship for her outstanding performance during d last Pastoral visit.
Friends just one thing is essential for us to do: Let us continue to pray God not only to bless Ide Akwaeze, but also to give him good health of mind and body. Loretto princesses will not stop praying for u.
