The Hon. Commissioner for Works, Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor along with the management sfaffs of MOW inspected the on-going Construction of Eziagulu-Ivite-Ezu River Road by Breeco Construction Nig. Ltd. This road cuts across swamps and two streams in Aguleri and gives access to a vast array of agrarian land. This project will indeed have a multiplier effect as it ll expand agricultural activities around the community and thus improve the economic and social well-being of individuals both directly and indirectly. 3 Likes

Don't know what's going on! There seems to be a dearth of inspiring news on ongoing big-ticket/world-class projects in the south-east! All i'm seeing is bog-standard roads all over the place! 1 Like |

Go to other regions, and see them using federal funds to launch snazzy new airport terminals; use Julius-Berger to construct state-or-the-art expressways linking their major cities; and construct brand new railway lines at the speed of light! Then turn to look at the south-east and all you get is noise and empty promises (both from the federal and state gov'ts)! If this is someones plan to frustrate Ndigbo while other regions/ethicities steal a head-start on us in the provision of infrastructure, then i have to say it's working! 2 Likes |

Anambra Govt To Launch CCTV Security Initiative The Anambra State Government is to launch the CCTV initiative in the security apparatus of the State very soon. Governor Willie Obiano disclosed this in Awka during the State Technical and Creativity Day. According to the governor, the CCTV cameras which will be mounted across all nooks and crannies of the State, will have great prospects for not only security but also for road safety. Governor Obiano revealed that the State Exco Council has approved the purchase of the cameras and they will soon be installed. The Governor promised that under his watch, security will continue to receive priority attention to ensure that the State remains viable for investors who are coming in their deluge.

American quarter welcome back! I almost thought your account was extinct and i unfollowed you. Good to see you again Sir! Golden Tulip should not forget to replicate their trade mark of well manicured pool area. They usually have A LOT of palm trees for the tropical appeal of their pool area. I hope they have the same plans for Agule resort of seriously making the pool area stand out for great wedding reception location and general outdoor living Golden Tulip in Africa has been known for. 4 Likes

This why I don't like obi administration on his poor choice of infrastructural development mostly on construction of very thin roads......this our overrated 2 star hotel would have being better if obiano started this project, the design would reflect modern aestatics than that old Scottish match box... That aside...since Golden Tulip is now in charge I believe they will do a better job. 3 Likes |

IGR: Anambra Govt To Enroll Taxable Adults Into Designated Revenue Account The State Internal Revenue Service has announced plans to enroll taxable adults in state into distinctive revenue accounts to transform revenue collection and payments. The exercise will provide a simple system where taxes accruing to the State Government could be paid from any location in the state. The Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Service, Dr David Nzekwu disclosed this during a one-day Internally Generated Revenue Technology Integration’ workshop in Awka. Dr. Nzekwu explained that the essence of the exercise is to improve revenue of the state government. In a remark, Mr. Victor Okere of Anambra Economic Think Tank identified falsehood on the part of some Internally Generated Revenue collectors, lack of tollgate structure and difficulties in identifying taxpayers as some of the problems facing revenue collection in the state. He noted that a technology-driven transparent system would serve as a repository and single point of truth for all revenue windows. Some of the participants made suggestion 3 Likes |

Xander85: True, but life is turn by turn, Igbos had upper hand during GEJ era, wat happened? Nothing. Yorubas are having upper hand in this government look at what they are building for themselves. I sincerely hope that SE has lernt their lessons. The amount official SE had that time infrastructure should have been built. |
