You just got lucky, I’m using the 6 and it’s still pretty much good with decent battery life (though not the OEM standard)...I advise people updating to a newer OS to do a full restore using iTunes, it helps in removing any backlog bug from previous updates..

I had my Iphone 6 plus since release so had my phone for over 3 years now. Since the IOS11 update and subsequent releases to iron out bugs, my phone has become so unstable and glitchy. Safari is so slow, battery life is crap, apps unexpectly freeze or hang and call quality has plummeted. Called Apple yesterday, they carried out a diagnostic and said I need to replace my battery as it has been ‘consumed’ It will cost me from £79 at Apple Store and it should improve performance. It’s Christmas so I’ll wait to see if I’ll upgrade but I feel I am being forced to do one which is making me dig my heels in. I no gree upgrade for years now Been with Apple since Iphone 3gs and never had issues around performance until IOS11.

The 7 Plus and all later generation iPhones are not affected by the policy..YET...

If they were so honest with no ulterior motives,how come they didn't let their customers know what they were doing before hand or give them an opt in option..thousands have had to buy new iPhones because of this and you think it was just an oversight on their part..

They were not transparent,in fact, they were being clever by half. Corporations are expected to fully disclose the pros and cons of whatever steps they take that will impact or likely impact on the end users of their products or the service(s) rendered by them.

Man’s looking at Iphone X or Samsung Note 8 but the contracts are pretty expensive. Brand loyalty does not pay these days. Never paid that much for a phone basically that the retail value for the phone was the price of my first car and man’s got responsibilties now so no splurging.

Allow it fam But seriously you have a point. It is not about keeping up with the Joneses or Adenugas, it is about what I can afford and will be satisfied with. Hence why Iphones served me well. Currently on a £19 monthly contract - SIM free I’ll get the X when they drop the price(highly unlikely until 2019) or when I trade in or get a huge discount or Christmas comes pretty early like right this minute
