127 countries including Nigeria voted rightly to reject Trumps unilateral decision to recognised Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Voting otherwise would have been against Nigeria's advocacy for a two state solution to the Isreal/Palestinian crisis.

Trump can go and die with his fvcking aids. We are a sovereign nation and Trump cannot dictate to us what our foreign policy should be on any issue.

For so many years your country Nigeria have been benefitting from those aids and you didn't tell them to stop, you didn't tell them to go and die right?

Well you're just a citizen, I bet your government won't say this , cos they know what they have been gaining.

Which US money are we collecting? Do you know how much the US oil companies are making from Nigeria?

what an immature statement from an immature man governing a respected country like USA

even though buhari has no concern in the votes, yet his aid withdrawal statement belittle his high reputation being the most recognise president in the world

The US can keep their non-existent 'aid' to Nigeria. What they are calling aid is the little fund they provide the rag tag military to buy obsolete US military hardware to be used on Nigerians demanding for justice and equity.

It is only the European countries that provide some real aid to Nigeria.

Nigerians need to demand accountability from their government to provide good governance. We don't need any aid from US.
The US makes more money from Nigeria than Nigeria gets from US.

The US have been the largest buyers of your oil for decades. They are the reason why Nigeria have a standard of living and why your leaders have free dollars to embezzle.

Please tell me what US is gaining from Nigeria apart from Chevron, Texaco and a few American companies in Nigeria providing Jobs for ungrateful people like you.

Nigeria has very very little leverage with the US. You need them while they have absolutely little need for you.

You have no military base of interest to them. No resource that they can''t get elsewhere.

they like suffering and smiling....I have never seen such a backward people like that...the rich ones can even help them wit this aids...but bill gates all the way from the USA come down here to help alleviate this plight.....

been neutral would have been the best...same thing Jonathan did in his time...it was very wise of him though many hates him for that here in the north...

And what did Jonathan's neutrality get him from the US?

Buhari and his kitchen cabinet did not even think that they are biting the hand that has been feeding them, Nigeria would have simply abstained and be in Win win situation. The resolution is non binding so abstaining won't make any difference but he will rather put his religion ahead of the common good of the country. For those saying which AID is US giving Nigeria, ask any healthcare staff in government facilities to find out. Most basic medical services will be beyond the pubic if not USAID intervention with some other international donors

The number one is Afghanistan- a war zone. Ofcourse, the US is going to deal with them in their own peculiar way.

Even Egypt that gets billions of American weapons they don't deserve every year just to stop them from fighting Isreal in a war the Egyptians would lose, also voted against America.

All of them will get their due reward . Trump is looking for any excuse to bring the money back home.

I hope Russia or china would be kind-hearted to fill the void. But i doubt that. Those fucckers are too selfish.

I agree with you. The wise thing for the government to have done is abstain from voting. This way, npne of the religions involved would have any grounds to protest.

We will be putting our faces in matters that have no economic importance to us. Instead of facing tackling the fuel scarcity and other matters we went to be voting on capital of Israel! Whatever happened to abstaining ? USAID please take your aid and please don’t bother helping out our army to further technically defeat boko Haram

Nigeria could have abstained. The vote was non-binding and had the effect of a mosquito biting an elephant. For something so silly, Nigeria should have simply not voted any way.

And to think that Israel had been heavily involved in consultancy services to our security forces makes it all the more ill thought out

@ the bolded, isn't the US a sovereign nation as well? Why should other nations try to dictate what the US foreign policy on any issue should be?

Cold hard fact - as of today, Jerusalem is without doubt the capital of Israel. No amount of grandstanding or sanctimonious virtue signaling by the leftist western nations can change that. Neither can the loud shrieking by anti-American/antisemitic eastern nations be of any use. Israel can only lose Jerusalem through conquest.

To hell with this generation where people think it virtuous to deny facts they find uncomfortable. Facts don't care about anyone's feelings.

Very stupid. Comment. Why can't USA pull out of UN.

If USA cannot. Abide by majority UN resolution, then it should pull out.

The same USA relies on UN resolutions to invade weaker countries.

The US does not need the UN's approval for anything and they have threatened to leave already if such petty theatrics remain. The UN has no power other than what countries like the US give it. This vote on the US move in Israel has as much effect as Panadol on AIDS. Nothing will happen.
