Wow lots of good and bad memories then... My school then was close to a general hospital mortuary we keep on experiencing strange things... Mehn na so one prayerful senior almost got attacked by an evil bird that turned to a half man... Omo see prayer that day na ... The thing turned into blood which we saw and in the morning, the blood was gone... Chai all those things make me a man without fear. 3 Likes |

Did u school in kwara state?.....quote author=Magnifik18 post=63597256]Boarding school was fun. As part of the pioneers, I became a dinning hall perfect from JSS 2. The issues we had were the Rev. Sisters. Those sisters can make a dull child intelligent just by flogging. Fear of the sisters was the beginning of wisdom. Rev.Sister Pat and Rev. father Chris would always take a stroll at night into the darkest part of the school. I bet they enjoyed praying together in the dark: What did I know then. [/quote] |

dom:Lol. Well a lot has changed since your time. In my own time, no form of punishment whatsoever, both from the senior students or teacher. No difficult manual labour. In fact these days they train you to be lazy. 1 Like 1 Share |

SheIsElle: O yes. we get stories of the life of luxury there now. a few of my classmates have their kids there. We also get to meet the millennials at alumni meetings. MCA was a labour camp in our time. we practically built the school ourselves. The feeding was TERRIBLE. The Marist brothers could afford to do that then because they had the monopoly of quality education in Eastern Nigeria. its no longer the case now. plenty good schools have sprung up. some of my contemporaries still bear grudges against the school. But I still believe they meant well. 1 Like |

My hostel experience in FGGC Sagamu was worse dan Mayflower School Ikenne.. mainly because in shaggy,i was a junior frm js1 to 3, and those seniors were born to punish..tho' i still enjoyed 'small' coz i knew some seniors.... buh in maycamp, i was alwedi a senior in ss1 nd our seniors didn't really have tym to punish juniors,we all had good raport... But at the end of it all, sec school and hostel was FUN!! |
